Just a couple of minutes into the promo, Justin Credible went backstage, and came out again with RVD. At that point, Steve Austin was talking on the mic and he told RVD that it was nice of him to join them and told him he was going to buy him a watch for Christmas so he could be places on time. This was meant to tell RVD that being late in the WWF is not allowed. This could arouse more negative feelings towards RVD. No word on whether this is true or not. Source// 1Wrestling ===================================================================== RATINGS//============================================================ WWF Raw last night drew its second lowest rating of the year, a 4.1 off of hours 4.1 and 4.1 (it also drew a 4.1, which was a slightly lower audience in total on 6/11) last night. The competition ended up being stiff with not only the CBS comedies and NBC shows, but both Monday Night Football, which ended up doing a 9.9 and the Yankees-A's on Fox doing an 8.4. Rock vs. Van Dam drew the shows highest rating with a 4.6 quarter hour. Heat did a 1.5 rating, a number disappointing with a higher quality of matches and a lot of star cameos, while Excess set a record low doing an 0.6 for the first taped show. They also did nearly $80,000 in merchandise sales. -Official SmackDown! TV pilots are being taped in the hopes of landing a slot on a national network. -Former ECW TV champ Kid Kash is going to be added as a replacement for Chris Candido at Mikey Whipwreck's retirement show. He will be taking on Red of the SATs. Whipwreck's last (retirement) match is going to be the main event of the affair (of course) where he'll take on Guido Maritado. The appeal was filed Monday in the Court of Appeal in London. WWFE argues in the appeal that an agreement it signed with the Fund in 1994 constitutes a restraint on trade. The Fund, now known in the U.K. as the Worldwide Fund for Nature, claims that the agreement prohibits the use of the "scratch" logo and the Internet address WWF.com (the fund's Web address is WWF.org). The timing of a hearing on the appeal has not been determined. It could come late this year or early in 2002. "We do not believe the Fund has in any way demonstrated that our use of the 'scratch' logo or the URL WWF.com has had any impact on the Fund's activities that would justify such a restraint of trade," said Edward Kaufman, WWFE Senior Vice President and General Counsel. "We do not believe there is any confusion in the public's mind between the World Wrestling Federation and the World Wildlife Fund, and the logos of the two organizations."
