He will be there preparing for his return to the WWF. D.Lo Brown, Steve Blackman, Haku, Brian Adams, & Val Venis are all said to already be in the HWA. Since OVW & HWA are located so close together D.Lo Brown will be wrestling for OVW too, as will some other wrestlers. The Goodfather will be wrestling for OVW shortly. Source// 1wrestling ===================================================================== RATINGS REPORT//===================================================== Monday night's WWF Raw drew a 4.5 rating, up 0.1 from the previous week, but tying for the second lowest rating in nearly four months. According to a source with access to the Nielson Media Research ratings, the show began with a 3.8 the first quarter hour, then spiked to a 4.7 in the second quarter hour. It ranged between 4.2 and 4.7 the rest of the show (including another 4.7 spike for Rob Van Dam & Shane McMahon vs. Chris Jericho & The Rock in Q5), then ended with a show-high 5.1 overrun rating for Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle. Raw has not drawn a rating at or above 5.0 since Aug. 20. ===================================================================== News from the WWF//================================================== -After WWF Canada President Carl DeMarco's appearance on TSN's Off The Record, DeMarco did a brief four-minute interview with TSN.ca. DeMarco talks about the WWF's decision to change the name of Raw, young Canadian talent on its way up the ladder, and Wrestlemania in Toronto. To see 'The Goods on Carl DeMarco', click http://www.tsn.ca/otr/ -The WWF drew an 8,915 paid sellout for $296,770 in ticket revenue last night for the Smackdown tapings in Moline, Ill. They also sold $73,097 in merchandise. -The new rule enforced by the WWF, as per which all WCW-contracted wrestlers and developmental talent won't be allow to go home when they are not booked. As an update to that news, several interest sources started to suspect it as a method by which the WWF will test wrestlers' commitments. However, 1wrestling.com is reporting that the rule was enforced by the WWF only to cut down on costs. -Today, is Rikishi and Tazz's birthday. Steve Austin will defend his WWF Title against Rob Van Dam and Kurt Angle. -Johnny Ace had a meeting yesterday afternoon in Cincinnati with the WWF developmental and ex-WCW talent currently working for Les Thatcher's Heartland Wrestling Association. Basic theme of the meeting was that everybody should look at their time there as kind of like spring training, they should be proud to be there, should be working hard to earn a slot in the WWF because obviously not everyone is going to make it, etc. He also said that they should learn things the way Thatcher and David Taylor teach them as opposed to altering them or doing them the way they believe to be correct. Ace and Fit Finlay spent time working out in the ring with the guys as well. Ace was scheduled for a meeting with the OVW talent in Jeffersonville, IN, later in the day, which was expected to have a similar theme to this meeting. When RVD first made an appearance on WWF TV as a part of "The Alliance," he was under contract by WCW Inc., which is a subsidiary of WWFE. However, in the last few weeks, his contract has been assigned to WWFE. This probably is another sign of RVD to be pushed as a huge baby-face in the future. -Denny Burkholder is reporting that the woman who praised Diamond Dallas Page on Raw is Jennifer Hume. H&S media, the company that owns WOW magazine filed for Chapter 11 as a means to restructure the company's debt, however the debt is so large that the company is looking to sell of some of it's assests. WOW magazine will be up for sell in a court auction with a minimum starting bid of $675,000. -Former WWF & ECW star "The Blue Meanie" recently filmed a part for the WB's comedy sitcom "Nikki".
