Saturday in Bethlehem, Pa. drew 4,527 paid for $125,220 in ticket revenue (Undertaker, Kane, Booker headlining), while Winnipeg, Manitoba drew 5,969 paid for $263,548 (Austin, Angle headlining). Sunday, the WWF drew 3,742 paid for Valparaiso for $102,660 (Undertaker, Kane, Booker headlining) while St. Paul, Minn. drew 4,211 paid for $149,960 (Austin, Angle headlining). Last night's Raw in Indianapolis, Ind. drew 9,204 paid for $290,668. The WWF hopes that in the process of doubling the number of weekend events, they can still hold the per-event attendance steady, thus double house show revenues. News ===================================================================== Comment//============================================================ Wrestling Faults - By The Sad Rebel General Bitching It feels like an eternity since I last wrote for nWN, and there is a lot that I have a problem with... 1. Undertaker and Kane/Kronik at Unforgiven The word 'lazy' comes to mind, and not only in this match (especially for the Taker). All four guys didn't look like they wanted to wrestle, and in PPV's that ain't a good thing. Sort it out! 2. Angle's 'American Hero' Tag Am I the only one who thinks that the WWF is playing off fan sympathy after the incidents of the 11th? I've heard more than a few people call Angle an 'American Hero', which I feel is pushing it a little. Yes, he's an Olympic Gold winner, but that puts him into the same bracket as so many other athletes (without taking anything away from anyone), and I don't think that hero status comes from winning the WWF Title. It's my belief that the WWF is trying to get Angle even more over by the use of the 'American Hero' thing and the fans are buying it because right now all Americans are being extremely patriotic, and as such I am very upset about it. 3. Rehashed Storylines Doesn't the current SCSA/Angle feud remind you of SCSA/Rock's feud a couple years ago? Throwing possessions over bridges and spraying people with beverages? Originality is the key to anything creative, be it wrestling or art or music or anything - you wouldn't buy one copy of an album and then buy the same copy the next day with the tracks rearranged would you? 4. Final moments of Angle/SCSA at Unforgiven I don't know if you have the same saying in America as over here in England, but the end of SCSA/Angle was tacky. Very, very tacky. I mean, Austin being 'robbed'? Did we not see that at the PPV before, but Angle? And the Angle family and the WWF locker room congratulating Angle *inserts fingers in throat*? Come on you writers, you can do better than that, surely. 5. Jericho not beating RVD at Unforgiven Sorry I just really like Chris Jericho lol 6. Everyone's eyes getting busted open at Unforgiven Why/How did so many eyes get busted open? If it was a total coincidence I'll understand, but I can't see how it could be... 7. The finish to RVD/Angle on Smackdown (or was it Raw?) Shane with a flying chair shot - like we haven't seen that before *yawns*. There was no way that Angle would have won purely because it would have led to a unification match on Raw (or was it Smackdown?), which would NOT have happened. If, and that is a huge if, there were to be a unification match it would probably be at Wrestlemania, but I can't see it happening to be honest. That's all I can think of for now, and someone will probably moan at me for having a go at Angle so much, but in the words of Marshall Mathers 'every time I write a rhyme, these people think it's a crime to tell 'em what's on my mind'.
