Benoit will join Michael Cole and Al Snow live and in living color, and being that he's been away for so long, he's sure to have a lot on his mind! A six-person intergender bout has already been signed for Sunday -- the Hardy Boyz and Lita will take on Lance Storm, Kanyon and Ivory. The recent history between Kanyon and Lita is well-chronicled, so it will be interesting to see what happens when Team Xteme goes head-to- head with the Alliance this Sunday on HEAT. Wrestling, Ultimowrestling ===================================================================== Article//============================================================ Official Raw Preview It's easily the biggest match in the history of RAW, and many are even calling it the match that could forever change the course of sports-entertainment history. This Monday on RAW, at 9/8 CT on TNN, Stone Cold Steve Austin will make his return to challenge Kurt Angle for the World Wrestling Federation Championship. These two competitors have formed a bitter rivalry over the past few months, culminating in epic title matches at SummerSlam and Unforgiven. At SummerSlam, the Rattlesnake barely held on to his title under questionable circumstances, and at Unforgiven, Angle won the title in controversial fashion. But now the shoe's on the other foot. Angle is the champion, and the desperate Stone Cold must defeat him. Commissioner William Regal's announcement that the Alliance is barred from ringside will be another hindrance to Austin taking back his title. Since this feud began, we've seen milk trucks, gold medals, wading pools, controversial decisions -- and two awesome one-on-one matches. This Monday on RAW, the third time could be the charm. Source// WWF.com ===================================================================== Article//============================================================ Corino makes statement about Retirement -Steve Corino has made the following statement regarding his "hanging up of the boots" (re: retirement) at his website KingOfOldSchool.com: First I would like to thank everyone that emailed me today and supported my decision to retire from active wrestling effective sometime in November. I haven't picked an exact date yet and when I do I am not going to make a big deal out of it. I would just rather fade off into the sunset. I have always had a passion for professional wrestling and told myself that I would retire the day it wasn't fun for me anymore. You may ask "Why isn't it fun anymore?" and the answer is actually quite simple-I am out of goals. In 1994 I made certain goals and to be honest I surpassed everything that I could have ever dreamed of. I have lived a dream. There isn't anything professionally that I would have changed if I had the chance to do it again. Will I be back one day? Who knows. Today I will say without hesitation NO. At least not in the ring. I would like to help out with the booking of the PWF still and I may do some color commentary for them. And I haven't ruled out doing the occasional tour of Japan. I am looking very forward to an upcoming tour of the UK and the rest of my shows. I have NO plans on dropping the NWA World title on my way out either. In the next few days I have will have a bigger statement on KingOfOldSchool.com.
