Check out 1Wrestling.com! The Rock appeared on the Rosie O'Donnell show today. They started out talking about the birth of his daughter. He said that his wife had a Caesarian section birth, so he could plan and be there. Rock said that the doctor asked him if he was OK in the locker room and he said, "I'm the Rock doc", implying that he could stomach anything. He laughed when he said it. Then, as the procedure went on, he realized what the doctor meant and he said that he really didn't want to see any part of the surgery. Rosie said she was surprised how calm and well spoken the Rock was. She expected him to be loud and obnoxious (hey, Rosie could be a wrestler!). She asked how he got into wrestling. He mentioned that his grandfather and his father worked for the WWF. She asked about his ethnic make-up and he said he was half black, half Samoan. Rock talked about how he grew up in Hawaii but it's not the same when he goes back there now because he is famous and gets noticed. She asked him about getting into wrestling and acting. He said he got into wrestling after playing college football. Rock said that he always wanted to act and enjoys it. She asked him if wrestling was too violent and he said that he hopes kids watch the weekend shows instead of the night time shows, which are more risqué. He said that he hopes parents are making sure kids watch the right things. Rock said that when he talks to kids he tells them that what he is doing on TV is just like when they play with their friends, that he is playing. Rosie gave Rock a digital camera so that his wife could send him pictures of the baby while he's on the road. Then, they played a game where people in the audience had to act out songs with the word "rock" in them. Rock, as usual, came off really well and as a genuinely likable guy. ====================================================================== News from the WWF//=================================================== -Not sure if I covered the ratings for Raw but it got a 4.6 rating off of hours 4.6 and 4.6. Helen Giddings of Dallas. There will be a press conference with Rep. Giddings and the WWFE Superstars at 4:30 p.m. at Planet Hollywood Dallas (603 Munger Avenue in the West End center). The event is also open to the public, and voter registration forms will be available for anyone over the age of 18. Rep. Giddings is a member of the National Foundation for Women Legislators, one of the partners with WWFE in the SmackDown Your Vote! coalition of nonpartisan organizations created a year ago to encourage young people to register and then vote. The partnership registered more than 150,000 voters during the 2000 presidential campaign and renewed the effort this year, with rallies at high schools and colleges, and registration tables at virtually every WWFE live event through November. The SmackDown Your Vote! campaign will have visited 28 states and the District of Columbia by the end of November.
