We will continue to update all of you on any change in the situation with DirecTV. ====================================================================== RATINGS//============================================================= -Monday's Raw is War broadcast on TNN drew a 5.2 Nielson Research Rating, which was the same as last week's rating. The share of the viewing audience was 8.2, which was down from last week's 8.4 share. The show began with a 4.5 opening quarter hour and rose to a 5.5 for the Rock and Little Booker T segment, which was the highest rated full quarter hour of the show. The eight minute overrun drew a 5.9 rating for the Austin Appreciation Night segment and the Kurt Angle milk bath angle that followed. -Heat did a 1.7 rating for the first run, which is in the neighborhood of what it's been doing the last few weeks since WWF started recovering, and 0.9 for the replay. The final episodes of Live Wire and Superstars both did 0.7 ratings. ====================================================================== News from the WWF//=================================================== -There is currently an article on the ESPN website that recaps Summerslam with additional thoughts on the show. The injury occured weeks before SummerSlam and officials did know about it. Page will have an MRI on Wednesday and may have to go through arthroscopic surgery as soon as Friday. If surgery will be required, Page will be out about 3 weeks from the surgery. Page possibly also suffered a possible shoulder injury at the cage match last Sunday which needed ice. It is said that the shoulder injury was bothering Page at RAW as well. We do not know how serious the injury is and if the injury is true, Page may have to take more time off as well as from the MRI. -Although many people believed that Shawn Stasiak was booked to mess up his lines during the Austin speech on RAW, he was not told to do so - it was not a work. Shawn was messing up his lines and the writers thought it would be good to air as part of his clumsy gimmick. "Slammin' Saturday Night" will premiere on TNN on Saturday, Aug. 25 (7:00 PM- 12:00 Midnight, ET/PT) with the WWFE series telecasting at 10:00 PM, ET/PT-12:00 Midnight, ET/PT. WWF Excess will be telecast live from WWFE's television studio in Stamford, Conn. The new series replaces LiveWire and Superstars, which are currently telecast on Saturday and Sunday mornings, respectively, on TNN. WWF Excess will be hosted by Jonathan Coachman and Trish Stratus and will feature highlights from that week's live events, interviews with World Wrestling Federation Superstars, as well as feature segments about World Wrestling Federation activities. Viewers will also have the opportunity to e-mail and call in questions for the Superstars. The first episode will feature a live interview with World Wrestling Federation Superstar Triple H. "Saturday nights on TNN will become a new destination for viewers looking for the best in high-adrenaline sports and entertainment," stated Robina.
