I dont' know why people don't think Angle is a breakaway superstar as he's been WWF champion, headlined many PPV's and has had match-of-the-year candidates up the ying-yang, yet, people don't see his as they do a Rock or Austin. I guess to some extent that's true, but you tell me, what would give him that last extra push? Would a win over Stone cold do it? Or would a loss help him more? Interesting. ENJOY! It's been said that he walked around all day like he had a chip on his shoulder. He was booked in the main event but apparently he wanted to leave the show before intermission. Jeff Hardy's flight to the show got cancelled somehow and Jeff had to pay for another flight to get to the event and thereby got to it late. Page for some reason was ticked about that. Scherer says that a couple of wrestlers were upset at how DDP was carrying on especially at an event for charity. Some wrestlers were quoted as saying that Page "didn't want to be there". Other's have said he "had a **** up his ***". Source// PwTorch.com & Brandon Simpson ====================================================================== Article//============================================================= WWF beats WWF in court case Conservationists Beat Pro Wrestlers in Battle Over Rights to WWF Name By ED JOHNSON - Associated Press Writer LONDON (AP) -- The World Wildlife Fund, best known for its efforts to protect the panda and other endangered animal species, won its court battle Friday against the World Wrestling Federation over the use of the initials WWF. Justice Robin Jacob ruled that the wrestling group had breached a 1994 agreement between the two sides that limited its use of the initials. In a written judgment, Jacob said it was understandable the fund did not want to be associated with the wrestling group. ``Some would say its (the federation's) glorification of violence is somewhat unsavory,'' Jacob said. Jacob acknowledged it might cost the federation, famous for musclebound wrestlers such as The Rock and Undertaker, up to $50 million to change its logo, but said some of its arguments in court had been ``hopeless'' or ``astonishingly poor.'' The wildlife fund argued that worldwide exposure for wrestling had increased due to television and the Internet, leading to more widespread use of the initials by the federation. The two sides had almost identical Web site addresses. The wildlife fund (www.wwf.org) accused the wrestling federation (www.wwf.com) of breaking their agreement and filed a lawsuit seeking enforcement of its trademark rights. Anita Neville, spokeswoman for the wildlife fund -- known outside of the United States as the Worldwide Fund for Nature -- said the judgment ``means that our name and reputation is upheld.'' Jacob said the wresting organization, whose full corporate name is World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Inc., will be permitted a limited use of the initials in the United States, but will no longer be able to use that Web site address. The Stamford, Conn.-based wrestling federation expected the decision based on the judge's comments during oral arguments, said spokesman Judd Everhart. "We're not surprised by today's ruling,'' Everhart said. "But we think it's erroneous and we intend to appeal.'' Everhart said he was not sure when the appeal would be filed. He was not sure what action the company would take regarding its Web site, though it remained active Friday. A further court session was set for October to determine costs and damages to be awarded. ====================================================================== Comment//============================================================= Vile Thoughts - By The Vile Well, I must say last weekend was eventful as I sifted through the mounds of hate mail I seemed to receive from everyone including the whole "T" family. I must say folks, I admire your loyalty to the "Q" man. I will admit that I need to take back one thing about Booker. He is not fat. Last week's rant was just that; a rant. After seeing a couple of shows that could have been written by the NWO, I had to blow off steam, and Booker happened to be the man in the crosshairs. Am I sorry about what I said? Hell no!! I think my point was even intensified after the horrible skit that was on Raw this week. I think buffoon is a good word for the "Q" man after seeing that travesty. And yes, maybe I am a mark for the Rock. It was great seeing him after he had been off for so long, and I will admit, I've been on the bandwagon ever since he became "The Rock". The Rock is the quintissential showman. And Thursday's Smackdown proved it. Watching Booker and Rock trade verbal jabs was like seeing the Devil Rays try to beat up the Mariners; It's just not happening. What Booker needs to do is just be Booker T. He needs to just get in the ring, and give us the 5 star match that he is capable of at Summerslam. Not as Stone Cold's redheaded stepchild, not as Shane's boy, but as Booker T-The man that was poised to lead WCW. If anything, Rock will help Booker by pushing him to be as good as he can be. Try as I might, I can't accept the paranoia of Loser 3:16. I will say though, I thought his little angle with Debra on Raw was kind of funny. They had that Al and Peg Bundy thing working pretty well. We also saw a little of the old Austin mean streak on Smackdown as well. Keep this up, and I might have to really say something nice. As for the Olympic Hero/Zero, it's actually happening. A while back, I muttered something about hoping Angle would get a shot at a big program with WCW, and he's got it. And he's making the most of it. With the way the heat is building up for Summerslam, this could maybe be a match of the year. That is, if Austin can recover from all his bumps and bruises and breaks. Memo to Naido: You are not hallucinating. I have been neglect in saying something earlier, but it definitely looks like Steph had some work done at the Brisco Brothers Body Shop. And it was some fine work at that. I must say I was pretty bummed after watching Tough Enough this week. Greg was my pick to win the whole blasted thing, and it looks like he may be done after a back injury. Hopefully he can make it back, but it's hard to say what's going to happen. As for Nidia, she has got to be winning people over with her desire. Her knee's screwed up, but she's in their fighting. You just have to love an underdog. Can anyone answer for me the purpose of Ivory showing up on Raw, and joining the Alliance? With the ladies' title deader than disco, who cares? The only decent lady wrestlers left are Lita, Jackie, and Ivory. You can count Tori in there if she makes it back. Let's face it: Chyna killed the women's division, and rendered it back to the T&A division. I'll give credit to Trish, Torrie, Stacy, and Steph: they try hard. Problem is, they just aren't wrestlers. And lastly, this one's been bugging me for a while. If they are going to continue pumping the WCW/ECW vs. WWF war, why not have "War Games?" The original concept of War Games in the NWA was awesome. Two rings, surrounded by a steel cage. Two teams of five wage war, with submission or surrender the only way you can win. Imagine if you will, on one side: Rock, Angle, Kane, Undertaker, and Jericho. On the other, Austin, RVD, Booker, and the Dudleys. Would that be awesome or what? Surely now that the WWF owns the WCW, they could hold the War Games if they wanted to. Till next week. ====================================================================== Remember...=========================================================== -Remember that if you've missed any TV Shows, PPV's or more?
