Thanks for reading. naidO// ====================================================================== TOP HEADLINE//======================================================== -Jerry 'The King' Lawler has posted a follow-up commentary to the one two days ago over at KingLawler.com, confirming that the rumors of a split between he and Stacy Carter were true. Lawler posted the following statement: The rumors that were talked about on the web went something like this, "Jerry and Stacy had a huge fight and Stacy left him and went to their condo in Florida" or "Jerry blamed Stacy for him not being in the WWF anymore and as a result Stacy has left," or "Stacy has run off with another man after a big fight with the King." Take your pick...there are probably even more of them out there, but none of them are totally true. The one "true" part of all of the rumors is that Stacy has left me, and my heart is broken. I've been waging a battle with myself all day long concerning what I should say about it. Should I place blame? Should I name names? Should more people than me be hurt in this situation? But as I sit here I realize that blowing out someone else's candle doesn't make yours burn any brighter. I am angry, and I am hurt, and I am confused, but at this point I don't think it will help the situation to go into any of the details concerning our breakup. -As of yet there is no official word if this will affect matters concerning the WWF, however you would have to believe that there would be a better chance of Lawler coming back to the WWF now than ever, considering the main reason he left the company (Stacy), is now gone from his life. Leary, who once hosted a nationally televised show for 7 years and has been an on-air radio personality for more than 15 years, followed around ring announcer Tony Chimel this past Monday at RAW. You may have already heard Leary's voice on episodes of Superstars. The WWF website has an interesting article about Leary, which you can read by clicking http://www.wwf.com/news/headlines/1071897 -It looks like the details of the new WWF show to start on 8/25 on TNN at 10pm have been announced, according to WrestleLine.com: The show is expected to start off being a combined WWF/WCW/ECW show similar to RAW and Smackdown at the moment where the WWF wants to build that it is another 'must not miss show'. Then once the show has established itself after a few months or so, the WWF will change it completely into a WCW/ECW show, therefore keeping the two promotions separate. There are even reports that once the show is handed over to WCW/ECW, it will feature some "extreme elements" because of the late night timeslot, and because it was one of the things that made ECW so famous. -1Wrestling reports that WWF attorney Edward L Kauffman filed an application ECW trademarks on July 13, four days after using said trademarks illegally. The application reads: "Entertainment services, namely, the production, promotion and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through the media of television and providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network." Hearings are set for Thursday on the HHG/ECW bankruptcy with creditors and another by Acclaim to get ECW's assets and clear up the debt. -There's an interesting poll at the WWF website that asks "Are you happy that Paul Heyman is back as RAW color commentator?". Right now it's torn at 51% "No" and 49% "Yes" out of 125,500 votes cast. -The WWF website has an extensive article on APA members Faarooq and Bradshaw and their long road together in the WWF. Kidman continued to wrestle for the next few days, thinking the injury was not that bad. However, after his match with X-Pac Monday on RAW IS WAR, he experienced inflammation. Kidman will be visiting a doctor on Thursday. As a precaution, he's been taken off live events until SummerSlam on Aug. 19. -Torrie Wilson will be featured in the September issue of Oxygen Magazine as the cover girl. -Lance Storm updated his website's commentary. In it, he "marks out" for his favorite author David Morrell. The top four events for the quarter were Wrestlemania, King of the Ring, Backlash, and Judgment Day, in that order. A total of $83,469,500 was made off WWF events. -There is currently an article on the "Macho Man" Randy Savage in the St. Petersburg Times. The article talks about Savage's recent appearance to a YMCA in Zephyrhills where he tells kids to say no to drugs, stay in school, and listen to their parents and teachers. The trial is at a standstill while defense attorneys consider deals offered by the prosecution. Reportedly, Steve Kaplan, owner of the club, was offered a deal of three years in jail and a $5 million fine. If the trial goes on and Kaplan is convicted, he faces 195 years in jail. If no deals are made, the trial is expected to last until fall. The trial is going on its 14th week.
