Rikishi says doctors are saying he is ten times ahead of where a normal person would be in rehab. The injury happened on May 15 during a match with Kurt Angle. It continues a string of bad luck for Rikishi; the shoulder injury happened just eleven days after he returned from a busted eardrum. "I've gotten calls from a lot of the top dogs -- Undertaker, Stone Cold, Triple H, and a lot of the other guys, which makes me feel good," Rikishi said. "They've been really supportive." He hopes to return either late this year or early 2002. The WWF is saying that the restrictions of the agreement don't hold up because they are a restraint on trade and contrary to European law. It is expected a decision will be reached in three days. Or, DustyRhodes.net for more info. -Nielsen Media Research has released the rankings of the prime-time television programs for the week of July 9th-15th, and Smackdown remains UPN's top show, but showed no movement in the rankings, despite scoring a higher rating (3.8 to 4.0) last week. For the second consecutive week, Smackdown was ranked at 58 out of 135 prime- time programs, tied with a rerun of "NYPD Blue" on ABC. Last week, Smackdown held the same spot, tied with a rerun of CBS' "Nash Bridges." UPN was still a step ahead of the WB, who posted a rerun of "7th Heaven" at number 88 as their top show. (NYSE: WWF) today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Sony Music Video providing Sony Music with the exclusive right to sell and distribute World Wrestling Federation VHS and DVD releases to retail outlets in the United States. The deal is expected to significantly expand the distribution of WWFE's Home Video and DVD titles. As part of the agreement, WWFE will continue to be responsible for the creative development, marketing and production of all home World Wrestling Federation videos and DVD's. Starting this month, Sony Music Video will kick-off its deal by distributing four home video titles to retail outlets. The first scheduled for release under the agreement are: WWF Hardcore (DVD), Judgment Day (DVD), King of the Ring (VHS), and The Best of Raw is War Volume 3 (VHS). "This is a deal that leverages the strengths of two entertainment companies," said Stuart Snyder, President and COO of WWFE. "World Wrestling Federation can focus on what we do best - create entertaining content for our fans. By bringing Sony Music Video on board, we can leverage their sales and distribution expertise to expand our business to previously untapped retail outlets." This year, WWFE expects to produce more than 40 VHS and DVD titles, including 12 pay-per-view events, behind-the-scenes talent biographies and the popular Divas swimsuit video. WWFE currently has 11 of the top 20 video titles on Billboard's Sports and Recreation Chart.
