"First of all, let me say, I am the world's worst on remembering dates, but since I spent all of last week in New York and Cleveland, it had to be sometime before that the call came in. I say "the call" because it was from the WWF. Someone, in the television department called and asked if my position was still the same concerning returning to the WWF. I said it was, and that is simply return things to the way they were before this all took place, nothing more, nothing less. I am not trying to hold anyone up. I am not asking for more money, or a better position, I am just asking that things be made right and everybody go about the business of making the WWF as good as it can be." HELL NO, ALL DUDS" BY SAMJERRY@AOL.COM Visit My Home Page At: http://members.aol.com/samjerry Happy Independence Day! The day for Barbecue, Beer and Baseball. For those that prefer a more gentile sport, there's Wimbledon and Tennis. If you're British, blame it on the Tea Cartel 225 years ago. I didn't plan on writing again so soon, but the more I thought about that travesty foisted off on us Monday Night, I just had to vent my anger. in a word, RAW SUCKED! All of us that witnessed RAW expecting to see a once-in-a-lifetime thing, saw just that. However, it wasn't the explosion that we expected as WCW came to RAW; as WCW Champion Booker T ("T" for Torpid) defended the WCW Championship against a most worthy opponent, Buffy "The Empire Killer" Bagwell. What we got was a match that stunk the house out so badly that the crowd chanted "boring" throughout, and were more interested in a fight going on in the crowd. When was the last time you heard "boring" being chanted on RAW? A Main Event that the crowd couldn't care less about. As I recall, Buffy was nothing more than a mid-card jobber in the "old WCW," and he gets a Title shot on the first ever WCW match on RAW? The only thing interesting in this "match" was Stone Cold Steve Austin's (SCSA) and Our American Olympic Zero's involvement. The crowd woke up and the chants turned to cheers. In my July 3, 2001, Article, I gave you a few thoughts on the terrific job done by the announce team that handled the match, Old Arn and Blot Hudson. Never did I think I would ever say this but where was Fat Tony when we needed him? Don't misread that, I would prefer a dead horse to Fat Tony, that's how pitiful Old Arn and Blot were. You can't chalk it up to nerves; remember they two television turkeys are professionals and have done this before. I also mentioned Stacy Kiebler's involvement as Guest Ring Announcer. If she wasn't so good looking and didn't have the greatest pair of legs ever, I think the crowd would have stoned her. She epitomizes the old saying, "Better to be seen and not heard." WCW made several other impressions since their arrival: Dirtbag Doophus Page has taken some heat for failing to sell The Taker's moves at King of the Ring. Not surprising from a man who has only one goal in life: to make himself look good at all costs. Nothing wrong with old Dirtbag that a 500 pound weight, a strong rope, and a boat ride beyond the three mile limit wouldn't fix. Then there was Buffy getting into a fight with backstage Shane Helms. Seems Buffy pulled "A BuffY" and told Helms he would never be the star Buffy is. Buffy slapped Helms; Helms introduced Buffy's face to his fist and twelve stitches. Add to that Buffy's mama (remember her from NITRO)? calling and bitching about Buffy's travel arrangements. Just what Prince Shane ordered ... "The New Buffy" (Yeah right and Saddam has become a Monk). Just to keep things interesting, Hugh Morrus and Mark Jindrak having to be kept apart after an argument over missed spots. Can you imagine that, two WCW stalwarts arguing over a missed spot? That's like Fat Tony arguing that he had to call NITRO the greatest one ever. Emperor Vince is said to be just a little exercised over what took place on RAW. He turned RAW over to WCW for one match and they F'd it up worse than a bull in a China shop. Does he dare turn RAW over to Prince Shane and "The New WCW?" Unless something is done to change things, "The Greatest RAW Ever" might be televised in front of a "sell out crowd of 1,456." Behind all the words, he has to be wondering whether or not WCW can be saved. It's quite apparent that WCW talent don't work the way WWF talent does. He has to be questioning his purchase of WCW. What did he really get for his money? Fans see WCW and are turned off. That perception will be difficult to change, however, if The New WCW is to be successful, it must be changed ... and fast. ====================================================================== Remember...=========================================================== -Remember that if you've missed any TV Shows, PPV's or more?
