Thanks for reading. naidO// ====================================================================== TOP HEADLINE//======================================================== -In case you missed it on Heat last night, footage of Chris Benoit's surgery to repair nerve damage in his neck was shown. Comments from his surgeon, Dr. Lloyd Youngblood were shown as well. In the piece, Benoit said that he suffered the injury at the King of the Ring pay per view (for storyline purposes) when in fact he suffered it during TLC3. The most telling thing is that Dr. Youngblood said that it would take six months for Benoit to complete normal tasks rather than be ready to wrestle again. Previous reports had him scheduled for a December/January return to the ring. Youngblood shot that down by saying that he'd be able to do normal tasks in six months much less wrestle. He says Benoit will realistically return to the ring in about a year at 100%. Benoit will be wearing a cast on his neck for the next month. Youngblood was the same doctor who saved the career of Steve Austin a year and a half ago. Benoit joins other top flight talent such as Triple H & Rikishi who will be on the shelf for no less than 5-6 months. It has been more than three months since we last saw a Monday-night WCW match, but that will all change tonight, at 9/8 CT on TNN! The Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington, will be the setting for what will be a historic episode of RAW IS WAR! As we found out this past Thursday night on SmackDown!, Mr. McMahon has agreed to allow WCW matches to take place on RAW tonight! Which WCW stars will be in action? Will new faces debut? Will the Federation Superstars allow the matches to take place? As per Vince McMahon's announcement on SmackDown!, tonight's RAW will feature WCW bouts -- and anything can happen! We hope to have much more on the situation on this afternoon, once we receive news from the arena! But one thing is for sure -- RAW will be a part of history! Join Tazz tonight for RAW IS WAR live! -New York Post listed Vince McMahon a loser of the week because the XFL cost his company $47 million instead of the claimed $35 million. Actually it'll end up being closer to $50 million when all is said and done. The company still turned a profit for the year in a year that all his competitors went out of business so he isn't that much of a loser. -Steve Austin isn't scheduled to wrestle at TV this week due to his back being in so much pain stemming from a bad landing during the table spot at the PPV. I don't believe Kurt Angle will be wrestling at TV this week either, but haven't been told that specifically other than that was the belief a few days ago. -A&E will be airing the Steve Austin Biography at 8:00 p.m. July 10th. The replay will air on July 11th at 12:00 a.m. It's a REALLY good show and I recommend it to anyone. -The Rollerball movie, which features Paul Heyman as an announcer, was scheduled to be released on August 17th, but has been pushed back until the first quarter of 2002 according to The Hollywood Reporter. MGM boss Robert Levin said it was done to give the studio more time to promote the film better. -Yes, that was former ECW & WCW manager Woman with her real life husband Chris Benoit in the vignette that was filmed about Benoit's recent successful neck surgery. Hogan shot that down by telling the Sponge that he should believe it only if he'd heard it from the horses mouth (himself). Hogan said that "no one would be stupid enough to try to put himself over like that, and make such a foolish statement, that would do the complete opposite, and bury themselves."
