Perry has been experiencing some problems lately, as he seems to have taken one too many shots to the head. You never know what Saturn will say or do, which should make for some interesting television this Sunday on MTV! A title match has already been signed for Sunday's show -- Jeff Hardy will defend his Light Heavyweight Championship against Taka of Kaientai! These two high-fliers will no doubt put on a technical masterpiece for the coveted title! -Listing of matches we'll see: *Light Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy v Taka Michinoku *Jackie v Ivory *X Factor v APA *The Dudleys v Goodfather & Bull Buchanan Source// WWF.com ====================================================================== News from the WWF//=================================================== -Just a reminder that Terri and Perry will be hosting Heat live at WWF New York. - http://www.WWFDivas.com has been updated with new shots of Molly Holly. Check them out along with the latest shots of Lita, Trish and more. -It was announced at the WWF house show in Toronto last night that they'll be returning on Monday September 3rd for a live RAW taping. Tickets for RAW go on sale on Saturday, June 30th and are priced at $55, $45, $30 and $20. Thanks to Y2JOK for sending that in to me. -For those curious as to how the WWF is looking at the current downturn in business, the general mood backstage is that the business goes in cycles, and that they are currently in a down cycle right now. As of right now, there is no panic or sense of urgency. They expect things will be down for a while, and then will rise again in the next up cycle. -There's a nice article on the Hardys speaking out against 'backyard' wrestling at SLAM! "invasion" appearence. -Some food for thought: Shane McMahon's new music is done by veteran rap group Naughty By Nature. If you cought his entrance video on SmackDown ot the one on WCW.com, it has group members Treach and Vin- Rock prominantly featured. -Some more food for thought, Dallas Page's website now features WWF merchandise and advertiser banners. One would think he's already signed, sealed and delivered. Source// naidO, 1Wrestling ====================================================================== News from the rest of pro-wrestling//================================= -In the "what are they doing now column": Ted Turner, once owner and longtime proponent of WCW, has set up a production company located near CNN headquarters called Ted Turner Productions. The company will produce feature-length films and documentaries. Robert Wussler, co- founder of CNN, heads the company. Turner has become increasingly frustrated with his lack of power within the AOL/Time Warner empire. -To read Don Callis's newest commentary reminiscing about ECW, click http://www.canoe.ca/SlamWrestlingJackyl/home.html Source// 1Wrestling ====================================================================== Comment//============================================================= Screw Job Of The Week - By Ted Cabata Well here we go I am finally back with an actual screw job...I think. I enjoyed sitting back and watching WWF TV this week, after reading through everything that has happened since I was away I was real excited to see what would go down especially with King Of the Ring so close. But then as i watching, i realized that anything good that happened was missed by me, and everything i was watching was the same old crap. First off Chris Benoit VS Kurt Angle in a steel cage. Havent seen this match before, and oh yea i couldnt guess back at 9pm that Steve Austin was going to play a part in it. Next we have the Undertaker stalker, which is an angle I actually kind of liked, except the vignettes are getting really old. Come on alreday make a match at King of The Ring and how about a few clues on who this stalker is. I'm sick of 30 second vignettes that end with the Undertaker running off, give me some action. Then we have Mick Foley and Linda McMahon setting up the main event at King of The Ring and I felt a lot of heat there. Ok maybe that was good and I'm just sick of hearing Foley plug his book, which isn't as good as his first one. So who won this week? Well Put everything together and it all centers around King Of the Ring so I decided to award this week's award to... The King Of the Ring PPV Why? First the tournament itself looks awful this year. With the exception of Rhyno and Edge there is no one who can be helped by winning this tournament. Christian, jef hardy, Tajiri and so on will always be too small to be a heavyweight champion. And Big Show, well he is a former champion what the heck is the point of having him in a tournament with a bunch of lightweights? Next we have the stalker situation that i mentioned above. Undertaker still is not signed to face him or even meet him at KOTR. I will give credit to Kurt Angle and Shane because I think that is the only match i want to see. And the main event, great way of fooling everyone into thinking the glass ceiling is gone..I see Austin retaining all summer. Now the final reason why I picked the PPV is this, its a week away and look who is NOT on the card: IC Champion: Kane, European Champion: Matt Hardy, hardcore Champion: Test, William Regal, Raven, Tazz, Dudleyz, the list goes on. You could've easily had a tournament with Kane, Test, Big Show, Edge, Rhyno, Regal, Matt Hardy, Buh Buh Ray Dudley and Billy Gunn and then the winner would have been elevated, but I'm sorry anyone who thinks they should become a top contender for beating Christian, Jeff Hardy and Tajiri should be sent to WCW or something. As always comments, Complaints and etc are welcome... tcabata@roanoke.edu AOL IM: frogs 11 - ICQ: 4745291 - MSN: amudgarden@hotmail.com ====================================================================== Comment//============================================================= What If? - By Sam Jerry What if Stone Cold Steve Austin had not laid his now (in) famous "3:16" on Jake "The Snake"? Austin would have signed to become a shoot fighter in the Far East. It wasn't until his first match that he discovered that shoot fighters there use 45 caliber magnums. His record of 0-1 is engraved on his tombstone. Vince McMahon would be working for Uncle Ted in WCW as a traveling ring boy and foam finger vendor Stephanie McMahon might have ended up as a "$2 Trash Bag Ho" hustling at rest stops along I-95. Shane McMahon would have become a dare devil, specializing in leaping off skyscrapers without a safety net. He will long be remembered for his memorable first leap off the Sears Tower in Chicago, which was also his last leap. After her divorce from Vince, Linda McMahon would have married Uncle Ted. She subsequently would have taken over running WCW and her first act would have been to fire Vince, live on national TV of course. After Uncle Ted accidentally shot himself during their honeymoon, Linda would have gone on to marry the US Senator she met while she was mourning Ted, and he was mourning the loss of his wife, who was killed when the brakes of her car failed. After the Senator accidentally overdosed on his heart medication, Linda would have been appointed to complete his term by her close friend the Governor. Taz and his friend Joey Numbers went on to a very successful, albeit short, career as delivery men for the Fat Tony Olive Oil Company. They haven't been seen since they botched a delivery at the Badda Bing Gentleman's Club in New Jersey. ====================================================================== Remember...=========================================================== -Remember that if you've missed any TV Shows, PPV's or more?
