Friday at WWF.com at 4PM Eastern. -Last night's edition of Smackdown on UPN did a 4.5 overnight broadcast rating, with a 7 share. -The WWF is hosting a premiere party for "Tough Enough" at Manhattan's WWF NY restaurant on Tuesday, June 19, at 8:00 p.m. Patrons at the eatery that night will get to see the first edition of the show two days before it airs on MTV. -Food for thought: The writer of the restaurant skits on SmackDown! last night were written by Brian Gerwitz. He also played the waiter in the skits. Gerwitz is also responsible for many of the Edge and Christian skits as well. Chat Thanks to Mike Forham for the following: I've just come from the live Yahoo! Chat with Chae An - formally of the Nitro Girls and now a part of Diversity 5. The following is a report of the the wrestling related aspects from the chat. Chae misses interacting with the fans. Regarding a question about WWF "Divas" being too one dimensional, Chae disagreed and said that it was important that everyone was given the opportunity to show their talent in the different fields that they are good at. Chae feels that the current portrayal of women is wrestling today is "not very positive", and that would be a good reason to bring the Nitro girls back to even it out. Chae said that she and other members of Diversity 5 are hoping one day to reach back to their fans - perhaps through the Nitro Girls. Booker T has one of Diversity 5's CD's in his car. Living in Atlanta, Chae runs into former (and current) WCW guys such as Mike Sanders, Disco Inferno, Lex Luger, as well as DDP and Kimberly. Chae came off as a very nice and positive person, and certainly did not discount a comeback to wrestling in the future. So I had to go to the www, and find out what happened. Problem is, it's like buying a book, and reading the last freaking page only. Stacy on Smackdown?!! Man, am I upset. Look, if you're gonna pre-empt my Smackdown for baseball, at least do it for a real team; like the Yankees. Anyway, it seems as if King of the Ring is finally shaping up, and it just might be a halfway decent event. I will go on record with my pick now, so I won't be accused of bandwagoning. I like Edge to win the tournament. The King of the Ring has been a springboard for many talented performers, and I think Edge is the next one to step up to the plate. Especially now that he and Christian are on different wavelengths. I do have to say though; I'm a little disappointed that it will mark the dissolution of the tag team that "totally reeked awesomeness." The main event should be an interesting case study. Chris Benoit, thrown out of the Radicalz, shows up at the doorstep of his old friend Chris Jericho. A year earlier, Jericho was thrown out of his home by Chyna, and requested to "never return." The question is: "Can two friends that are single wrestlers compete for the world title simultaneously without stabbing each other in the back?" Also, will we finally see Puss 3:16 elevated to the plateau he used to be at before his character became a total jerk-off? When is Mick Foley going to get his shot at Regal? The fans desperately want it, and I have a feeling that Foley is itching to get back into the ring as well. And besides, Regal is due for a total bitch-slapping. Make me happy Vince; announce it this week. I like seeing Jeff Hardy as the lightweight champion. Now let's see the division get some attention for a change. Lets see a series of matches with a top contender. And I don't mean Taka or Funaki; INDEED. Actually, maybe I shouldn't rip on those guys; I mean they do have their own T-Shirt now. I have no clue where they're going with this stalker thing. Actually though, this is a good thing. Keep me guessing Vince. But don't settle for somebody lame like Kane. I did like the rumor of maybe the Buffmeister. Do you have a feeling that the Olympic Hero is going to be a zero at KIng of the Ring? Why do I have a feeling he's going 0-2?
