Stu Hart, legendary wrestler/trainer/patriarch will be on RAW is WAR Monday night as the show emanates from Calgary, Alberta. Also, expected to be in attendance are Stu's wife, Helen, and son, Bruce. No word about Bret at the show, however. Source// The Law ====================================================================== News from the WWF//=================================================== -Members of the Hart family are expecting to appear on RAW tonight, including Stu Hart, and the prospect of their involvement with the WWF has Martha Hart steaming. Martha Hart, the widow of Owen Hart, was quoted by the Calgary Sun as saying, "If anyone from (the Hart family) were to go to the show it would be disrespectful and disgusting." To read the entire Calgary Sun article, click http://www.canoe.ca/SlamWrestling/may28_rumour-sun.html -Lance Storm is scheduled to meet with Jim Ross of the WWF today while the WWF is in Calgary. -Dave Meltzer also mentions that on a recent radio show in Tacoma, Washington, Kevin Kelly was on and mentioned that the King of the Ring main event would be The Undertaker and Kane vs. Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho for the WWF Tag Team Titles, with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special referee. -HHH was on Sunday Night Heat last night talking about his leg injury. There really wasn't anything newsworthy to the segment, but it was interesting to see that the entire feature was done in a shoot style, as footage was shown from his surgery and comments from Dr. Andrews who said that it was a miracle HHH could continue on with the match on RAW last week. -Shane McMahon will take on Kurt Angle at the King Of The Ring PPV, and a key insider from the WWF tells us he is serious about making a good showing in the match. McMahon is said to be training with Al Snow to prepare for the match, and is determined to put in a good performance. McMahon had reportedly worked closely with Tom Pritchard to get ready for his Wrestlemania match against Vince McMahon, and Al Snow has apparently been assigned the role of getting Shane ready for the Angle match at King Of The Ring. -The World Wrestling Federation has expanded the depth of its DVD home video line. Starting with the Wrestlemania X-7 DVD, the WWF will be releasing all of its PPV events thereafter on DVD format. While all the events had been available on home video, only the "Big Five" PPVs had been available on DVD until this point. The WWF is also moving ahead with new original content DVDs including a Triple H compilation. Scott Steiner was contacted a couple of weeks ago, and a key insider has said that Vince McMahon spoke with Diamond Dallas Page last week and that WWF lawyers are looking over Page's contract to see how quickly he can be released from Time Warner so he could be available for the WWF. The discussions between McMahon and Page were said to have gone very well. Source// 1wrestling, ultimowrestling ====================================================================== Article//============================================================= Road Dogg taken to jail following Indy incident Jesse James Armstrong (Brian James), better known to wrestling fans as Road Dogg, was arrested Friday night in Conway, SC, during an NWA Mid-Atlantic show (midatlanticwrestling.com) at the local high school. The arrest followed an interesting chain of events including excessive use of abusive language during intermission by the Road Dogg. He was using the ring to take pictures with fans, but the line was too long and the night was running behind (There were still the two main event matches to fit into the remaining 40 minutes). The promoter ran someone up to the ring to tell Road Dogg to end the line in 10 minutes. Road Dogg used vulgarity off and on the microphone to the "middleman" and the ring announcer (who was female and used abusive words only suited for a female). He refused and the police and some people from the school asked again if he could leave the ring. Road Dogg agreed, but he ordered people who wanted a picture to the corner of the gym for pictures. The line was long, and the card could not proceed with no one paying attention to the matches. The intermission had already last more than 30 minutes. Road Dogg got upset that he was asked to stop his pictures, and police asked him to go outside the gym so he may calm down. He did, and Arn Anderson (who also was on the show) followed. Anderson came back with no luck in calming him down, in fact, the action in the parking lot was so hot that Road Dogg was arrested for disorderedly conduct. He was held in jail for about an hour or so until police believed he was calm enough to leave. While at the police station, Road Dogg convinced police he had not gotten paid for the event, and that is why he was acting irrationally. He was actually paid several hours before the show back in his hotel room. The main event with Road Dogg against Barbarian had to be quickly changed one match before the event was to take place. Fans were not happy, and many police officers were called into the small town to make sure no fan violence was presented. Road Dogg was charged with a misdemeanor of disorderly conduct in Conway, SC, on May 26, 2001. (Off-the-Wall Ideas and Predictions) by ~*Laine*~ Week of May 28, 2001 ~"THIS is Regal's Brainchild?"~ "It's my birthday, and all you guys have planned is a lame little party with balloons and noisemakers?" Vince McMahon complained, glaring around the dressing room at Stephanie, Triple H, and the small group they had paid off to show up. Edge and Christian sheepishly tucked away their kazoos in the middle of their spirited rendition of "No Chance". "Well..." Stephanie stammered, glancing at her husband for back-up. "There are presents," the Game added ineffectually. Glowering, Vince crossed his arms and sulked. A happy boss is a non-vengeful boss, William Regal thought, and piped up, "Well, sir, there IS the entertaining match I've booked for later this evening." "What match?" Stephanie asked loudly, and Regal served up a good shot to her Achilles' tendon. "You know... the match!" Regal replied, his mind racing. "Oh, yeah, the match!" Triple H agreed with enthusiasm, then hissed in Regal's ear, "What match?" "Trust me," Regal muttered, keeping his diplomatic grin firmly in place. "I'll think of something." ** "Why are we drawing names out of this hat?" the Big Slow complained. "I thought I explained myself quite clearly, you lummox," Regal said, exasperated. "The name you draw represents the gimmick you will take on for this evening's battle royal. You will wear this person's costume, enter the ring to his music, and perform his signature moves. Do you all understand?" There was a collective grumble in the affirmative. "Make it good," Regal warned grimly. "Mr. McMahon had better be rolling with laughter by the time the night is through, or you will ALL be fired!" One by one, the selected superstars drew names from the hat and resigned themselves to the task at hand. ** The crowd didn't know whether to boo or cheer when the Radicalz' music blared over the sound system, but under the TitanTron appeared the Hardy Boyz and Lita. Matt was decked out in a giant feathery coat, black tights, and that ridiculous hat, but Jeff looked decidedly uncomfortable in Dean Malenko's tiny black trunks, his hands crossed in front of him, covering as much as he could. Lita stumbled, cursing, down the ramp in Terri's stiletto heels and a dress that appeared to be fashioned from dental floss. Next appeared Chris Benoit and Steve Blackman, wearing blue tights and waving Japanese flags. His mouth moving completely independent from his voice, Benoit said into the microphone, "This is the stupidest match I've ever heard aboot." Snatching the mic from Benoit's very Canadian hand, Blackman lip-synched, "Indeed." The rest followed, including Kane in little black trunks with a giant eyebrow arching above his mask ("IF YA SMELLLL....."); the Big Show sporting a pressed white button-down shirt, black slacks, and a conservative black tie, spouting every ounce of foul language he could muster; and little Spike Dudley in huge, clunky boots and faded jeans with a chain looped around his scrawny neck, perched atop a giant Harley, looking more miniscule than ever. "Turn it up!" the loudspeakers shrilled, and in baggy hip-hop gear, a most unlikely duo reluctantly marched, half-heartedly busting a move... Kurt Angle wore a bucket hat with tall blond hair spewing pell-mell from the top, and the Undertaker polished his goggles and boogied his way down the ramp, both of them obviously mortified. Christian and Edge, accompanied by the loud shriek of several rockets crashing to the stage, followed in camouflage and taped-up Dudley glasses, scowling and muttering, "This definitely reeks of sucktitude." "You think you know me..." Out marched Chris Jericho and Test, resplendent in brightly colored tights, grinning maniacally in their outlandish sunglasses, tossing their long blond hair. Next came a new brand of Xtreme. X-Pac and Justin Credible looked somewhat absurd in oversized black jeans and skintight fishnet shirts with stockings pulled up to their biceps (X-Pac's hair dyed, of course, every hue in the spectrum), but the obvious focal point was Albert, who kept adjusting his halter top, his lipstick smeared all over his teeth and his thong underwear riding uncomfortably high. This prompted an arena-wide shudder. The People's Olympic Hero stalked to the ring next, gold medals clanking around his neck as he tugged at his red, white, and blue singlet, snapping, "If any of you think the Rock is going to lay the smack down on Regal when this is over... it's true, it's true." "I'm a bad man..." The crowd erupted with a loud, "Hell yeah!" as Stone Cold Steve Austin slunk down the ramp, picking the giant thong out of his ass and muttering, "I don't care if it gets me fired... Stone Cold Steve Austin does NOT do the stinkyface." As for the match itself... ...the rest is up to the WWF writers!
