Helmsley will have an MRI test done to determine the seriousness of the injury. Triple H did appear injured during the final five minutes of RAW. He was noticeably limping and looked to be in a fair amount of pain. -Dave Meltzer reports Triple H's knee injury is suspected to be a 75 percent torn tendon. Looking through a medical book, a torn tendon usually requires surgery and the recovery is said to be tough. Judging from television tonight, it would make sense for Undertaker to have interfered to give Benoit & Jericho a second win (which doesn't mean that is what they would do). Obviously they have to go in a different direction as well as elevate a new heel, perhaps William Regal, to give Benoit an opponent for King of the Ring. -WWF.COM reports Big Show suffered frostbite on his arm after being sprayed with a fire extinguisher by Test. Show also suffered two sore ribs, which he described as "like a pebble at the bottom of your shoe." -Big mistake in the new june Feature Magazine, the monthly Movie Network and Pay-Per-View guide distributed to subscibers in Canada. In an article entitled "The Rock perfers film sets to the ring" writer Pat Hickey makes a huge blunder. Hickey writes "The official word from WWF world headquarters in Stamford, is that The Rock (whose real name is Chris Jericho) has been suspended." The error continues throughout the article with quotes from The Rock (real name Dwayne Johnson) being attributed to Jericho. Duh, thy name is Hickey. -TSN continued their bold crusade against those evil, vile sledgehammers by cutting to canned crowd shots when Triple H nailed Austin by accident with one during the main event tag team match on last night's Raw Is War broadcast. -Dave Scherer reports that the deal w/ Saturn and Mike Bell is over. The word going around the back last night at Raw was that the two hellacious powerbombs that Perry Saturn took from Bradshow were a "receipt" for him stiffing Mike Bell at the Metal/Jakked taping two weeks ago. From what I have been told, everyone knew exactly why the sequence was booked the way it was and there was no heat from anyone involved. A few people told me that Saturn accepted his penance and took it like a man. In fact, he even made chicken **** into chicken salad by delivering his "you're welcome" line to the EMTs checking on him in hilarious fashion. Now that the issue has been handled, I think everyone should move along. -Bill Bellitori's off camera happenings from the San Jose Raw taping. Dark Matches: *Steve Bradley beat Scott Vick. Jakked/Metal: *Jerry Lynn beat Chris Daniels with a Tornado DDT in a really good match. *Kaientai beat APW's Donovan Morgan and Robert Thompson. It was another good match. *Raven beat APW's Tony Jones. Decent match. Other Things: *Not much happened after Raw went off the air. Austin got up and was booed by the crowd. HHH was helped to the back. (NYSE: WWF - news), today announced completion of multiple television agreements in Australia, Asia, and Europe. The agreements expand World Wrestling Federation branded programming to new regions and solidify distribution in existing global territories. "These agreements strengthen our international broadcast distribution presence in important territories as we continue to build the World Wrestling Federation brand globally,'' said Roger Marment, Executive Vice President, International Business Development, WWFE. ``These new agreements give us the right mix of free television broadcasters and pay television outlets in these regions, a successful formula that we pioneered in the United States and have since duplicated in many international markets.'' AUSTRALIA: WWFE renewed two key Australian distribution agreements with Fox Sports Australia and MAIN EVENT PTY LTD. Combined, the distribution deals will deliver more than 300 hours of World Wrestling Federation branded programming over the next two years. *Fox Sports Australia will carry WWF Raw is War®(208 hours) and Metal® (104 hours) for two years. *MAIN EVENT PTY LTD., the top pay-per-view provider in Australia, will distribute all 12 pay-per-view specials throughout 2001, including WrestleMania®, Royal Rumble®, King of the Ring®, SummerSlam®, and Survivor Series®. ASIA: WWFE signed three new distribution agreements in Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Malaysia as part of its strategy to expand programming within Asia. The distribution agreements have extended the World Wrestling Federation brand throughout Asia and represent approximately 1,900 hours of programming through 2002. *TVB in Hong Kong, a free TV platform which controls 75% of the market share 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, has bought one year of WWF SmackDown!(TM) and Superstars(TM), as well as six ``Specials'' (pay- per-view in the United States) throughout 2001 for a total of 119 hours. The deal marks WWFE's first output agreement in the country. Its been a good day, and a great night. It has always been an argument about which was the greatest Wrestlemania..some say 4, because of the tournamnet, as alluded to by the Vile. A lot of people say that its 3, because of the awesome title match between Savage and Steamboat. Traditionalists say the first one, because that was the groundbreaker. NFL fans may say either 2, or 11, because those Wrestlemanias in particular had an NFL flavor to them, with 2's Battle Royal (the Fridge, Jimbo, and Tony Martin) and 11's Bam Bam v. what's-his-nuts. But, I say Wrestlemania X was the best. Althoigh 3 had a very good IC title match, I believe the Ladder Match at 10 was a ground breaking match, which would influence wrestling like no other match. Think about the influence that the Savage/ Steamboat match had: nothing. This is shown by the fact that the following Wrestlemania's showed no incremental improvements. I mean, c'mon, WM#3s IC match was Savage v. Steamboat, a great match which two great athletes in their prime fought toe to toe for 30 odd minutes. What was the very NEXT Wrestlemania's IC match? Honktonk Man v. Brutus the Barber Beefcake. That thing had to be the worst title match I've ever seen. In contrast to WM3's flagship match which had NO future impact for wrestling in general, WM'10s flagship match, the ladder match between Razor and Sean, had a lot of future impact. It laid the groundwork for future high flyers like the Hardy's, Edge and Christian, and singles wrestlers like Psychosis. It also paved the way for the current Hardcore title. And the Hardcore title saved McMahon's bacon a few times when times were lean in terms of talent-loss. Anyways, the ladder match just took wrestling to new highs; nobody EVER expected the ladder to be used the way they used it, and most importantly, nobody ever expected Sean to do the things he did with the ladder. And that leads me to my point: why was WM10 so damn good, when the mania's leading up to them (8 and 9) were ho-hum to say the least? Remembering the personnel at the event is critical for analysing. Who WAS there? Well, we know Sean and Razor were there. Also, Brett Hart, Owen Hart, Lex, Yoko, Bam Bam, and Earthquake were there too. The more important issue is who WASN'T there: Hulk Hogan and Undertaker. Hogan went on to WCW and Undertaker took a much needed sabbatical. Top Ten List: What are the top ten effects at Wrestlemania X if Undertaker and Hogan wouldn't have left simultaneously? 10. NO LADDER MATCH The flagship match would have been a typical Hogan main event, which would have sucked. Also, the Undetaker would have had to wrestle one of his gay waad Casket matches. Sean and Ramon would have been stuck in a tag team match. 9. MORE MATCHES There were only 8 (7 w/0 the EarthQuake match) in WM10, which was great...not too much, not too many. But remember, with the Undertaker and Hogan involved, it would have been at least 10 or 11. That would have been too many. Hey, anyone remember WM5? There were 15 frick'in matches. Much too many. 8. LESS WORK PRODUCT FROM THE WRESTLERS That's right. What seperates WM10 from previous events is that the work product was significantly better during key matches like the Ladder Match and Brett v. the late Owen Hart. Other matches where the wrestlers worked their butt off Men on a Mission v. the Quebecers, and Lugar vs. Yoko. With Hogan in the mix, it would have gone back to the bad guy only puches and kicks, while the god guys get all the good moves. (alla Muraco, Orndorf). But with 10, the bad guys had great moves too, like the Quebecers suplexing what's-his-nuts, and Owen Hart's scientific showing. Listen drones, I've gone on too long already, so let me end this. All I have to say is what made Wrestlemania 10 so great was that Vince had to scramble around to really "ring-out" the talent from his existing guys because Hogan and Undertaker weren't there to give him his comfort zone. And I couldn't think of a better well of talent to draw from than Sean, Brett, and Owen. So tell me, what DID we see in Hogan and 'Taker all those years anyway?
