Lynn is scheduled to host the show from the WWF New York complex. Things can change, but as of now, Lynn is not on the show in active competition. Source// WWF.com & LWN ====================================================================== News from the WWF//=================================================== -1Wrestling.com has learned from a key insider that there are two schools of thought as far as what direction the WWF should go in the weeks leading up to the King of the Ring PPV. Paul Heyman is said to be pushing for a main event for that PPV that would pit Steve Austin & Triple H against Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho, while Vince McMahon is said to favor continuing the Undertaker storyline through King of the Ring. 1Wrestling's source says that Heyman has run his idea past Austin and Triple H, and both of them have given their ok to the proposed program. -A key insider in the WWF passed along that the WWF was in serious negotiations to bring in Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis to appear at WrestleMania to work against Triple H. The idea was that they would have played off of Lewis's real life off the field problems, where he faced a murder charge for being at the scene of a homicide. From what I have been able to tell from other sources, the story is true. The deal was apparently almost signed, to the point where Lewis was reportedly on a plane and flew to Raw, before his attorneys nixed the deal. Source// 1Wrestling ====================================================================== News from WCW//======================================================= -There is an interesting rumor going around that the WWF talked with Scott Hall about coming in to the WWF in the last month, with Shane McMahon said to be the point man in the negotiations. As the story goes, after Shane talked with Hall once, both sides soured on the idea and that was that. As of now it's a dead deal, but it could come back to life at any time. What if I hadn't forgotten to turn off the gas? What if I had paid that overdue parking ticket? What if I would have checked that teenage girl for ID? Uhmmph.. Anyway, "What if" can lead to many interesting discussions in the world of wrestling as well. There have been many significant happenings over the years that could have their entire meaning changed with those two magical words. And that brings us to today. This column is all about what would happen if certain events changed. We hope to get as much input from everyone as possible. I like to think of it as a big BS session with a lot of wrestling fans. What if: WAYNE FERRIS (The Honky Tonk Man) HADN'T REFUSED TO JOB TO RANDY SAVAGE AT THE FRIDAY NIGHT MAIN EVENT? We all know the rundown: It was the first primetime wrestling show on network TV in over 20 years. The big matches were Hulk Hogan vs. Andre for the WWF title, and Honky vs. Savage for the IC belt. We all knew The Chumpster was going to lose, but Savage was supposed to beat Honky. However, that never happened. Hogan did lose, but Savage didn't win the strap, and it all led to the WM 4 tournament, and Savage being crowned the WWF champion. But what if Wayne had done as he was told? Well, I believe that if that had happened, Wrestlemania would have been a whole new animal. They would have kept the Dibiase angle going, and he would have defended the WWF title in the main event against Hogan. Savage would have most likely defended the IC title against either Honky or Andre. Hogan probably would have won the belt back, and Savage's WWF title reign would have been put on hold. There would have been no need for the tournament, and they would have had a regular undercard just like they had at previous Wrestlemanias. I still believe Savage and Hogan would have tangled at WM 5, but that might have been the first champion vs. champion, title for title match instead of Hogan's match with the Warrior. It also would have put the Warrior's rise to fame on hold as well. So I guess not only Randy Savage, but Brutus, the Warrior, and all the guys that got to wrestle in the tournament can thank Honky for being a jackass that night. ====================================================================== Remember...=========================================================== -Remember that if you've missed any TV Shows, PPV's or more?
