Apparently, Rikishi has a tear in the shoulder that will require surgery. He will, however, work this weekend's Judgment Day pay-per-view and perhaps TV next week. After that, it is expected that he will be out of action for an estimated three months. According to sources, he is completely fine and good to wrestle. -A few people in the WWF are under the impression that it's possible that Saturn was used on television this week as a way to deflect internet attention from the incident, which is a way that the WWF often likes to handle things. -The WWF, who has seen everything from a drop in house show attendence and television ratings, may now see the lowest buy-rate for a PPV since 1999's Armageddon. The prelimenary buy-rates for Backlash are a disappointing 0.9. -In the "take this for what it's worth" department: Sources have revealed that Vince McMahon is very frustrated with the dealings of the company with TNN. Insiders believe that McMahon maybe seriously considering breaking the deal and moving back to USA network. McMahon has reportedly sent feelers to USA to gauge their interest in bringing WWF programming back to their network as well as adding an additional program for WCW. -Electronic Media is reporting that the WWF is planning to create their own film franchise in the near future. Vince McMahon, chairman of World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, said "We're talking to Universal and a lot of other studios" about a "multipicture deal" that would involve both WWF talent and WWF storylines. Buffy and the latest Star Trek series "Star Trek: Enterprise" will be the stars of the new fall lineup for UPN. -Blockbuster Home Video is now selling an exclusive WWF home video titled "Taking It 2 Xtremes." The video centers on the aerial stunts and hard hitting matches that are infamous in feud between the Hardy Boyz, Edge & Christian and The Dudley Boyz feud. The 35 minute release retails for $9.99 and can be found at your local Blockbuster store. -Official SmackDown! preview: Just days remain until Judgment Day, and the Undertaker isn't a happy camper! On Monday's RAW, Taker left the arena early when he received word that his wife had been in a car accident. Hopefully, we will receive some news about the whole situation on SmackDown!, this Thursday on UPN -- just 72 hours before Judgment Day. In an epic tag-team war, Chris Benoit and Rikishi will take on Kurt Angle and Commissioner William Regal this Thursday on SmackDown! Rikishi and Regal are set to meet up at Judgment Day, as are Angle and Benoit, and this tag bout will no doubt set the stage! Plus, Angle could name the stipulations for the Judgment Day Medals Match as soon as this Thursday! Also this Thursday on UPN's SmackDown!, Eddie Guerrero teams with the Hardy Boyz to take on Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Jerry Lynn. On nights the Braves aren't on, he and Mark Erium host Sportstalk also known as the "Motza Ball and Meatball Show" from 7-9 p.m. I got to hear some of the show tonight and he sounded very informed about Atlanta sports, even when they interviewed Thrashers GM Don Waddle. Source// 1Wrestling ====================================================================== Article//============================================================= WWF going to court again According to Billboard, the WWF has sent a cease and desist order to independent record label Cornerstone R.A.S., saying that a new realease from Wesley Willis, called "The Wesley Willis Fiasco Live E.P." has cover artwork that too closely resembles the old WWF logo. After seeing the cover of the album, it indeed does look quite a bit like the old WWF logo. The WWF also wants the logo removed from the promotional web site. They are asking for an accounting of the profits made from the album and a letter stating that all of its requests have been met. By Erik Hedegaard Any moment now, a headset-wearing lady will open the door to the trailer on the back lot at Universal Studios and tell Dwayne Johnson - who has made quite a name for himself as the Rock, the World Wrestling Federation's most whoop-ass, trash-talking, ego-inundated wrestler ever - that he's wanted on the set. When this happens, Dwayne will be driven to Stage 44 to take his place in front of the cameras for his starring role in The Scorpion King, which is an expansion of his smaller role in the just-opened The Mummy Returns. He'll puff up his massive, bronzed and naked chest, nipples stiff and quivering, and use a sword to hack at some menacing but imaginary snake, while in the background a few crew members will smack their lips, nod their heads, and say things like, "Boy, the Rock looks good," "Dude, the Rock always looks good," "Hey, his breasts are bigger than hers"' and "Arnold, eat your heart out." But none of this has happened yet. To keep busy, Dwayne whips himself up a protein shake, watches a few minutes of Robert De Niro on the TV set, switches to some Bruce Willis, then takes a leak. He paces. The trailer shifts under his heft. He's been cooped up here for nearly five hours, since 5:30 a.m. His hair has been done, his makeup has been done, he's already been fitted into the hunky, revealing leather togs apparently appropriate to an Akkadian assassin circa 3,000 B.C. His role, he feels, is a great one - it was written expressly for him after Universal Studios' big shots got an early look at his work in The Mummy Returns - and it could turn him into the next big action hero. He wants it. Obviously, Universal wants it. So, what's the holdup? It doesn't seem right.
