Steiner is accused of kicking Randall Mankins, an EMT who agreed to become part of the show by looking after a wrestler who faked a leg injury. Mankins says he agreed to participate, but did not agree to receiving kicks from Steiner. The EMT claimed he was injured, but did not disclose exactly what happened to him. After Mankins filed a complaint with the Forsyth county sheriff's department, Steiner was arrested before boarding a plane after Nitro and Thunder tapings had ended. Steiner was originally scheduled to appear in court on March 21, but the date was rescheduled for May 16. No word if Steiner has to appear himself, or if attorneys will handle the case on his behalf. Source// latestwrestlingnews.com ====================================================================== Monday night and weekend ratings//==================================== The ratings for Raw are in and they are down, yet again, from last week. This week saw Raw do a 4.5 cable rating (with a 7.0 share) off of hours of 4.4 and 4.6. Last week's show did a 4.6. For the second week in a row, not one of the show's quarter hours broke the 5.0 barrier. In fact, this week actually saw one of the quarters do less than a 4.0 as the show opened at a 3.9. The quarter hours ratings were: Hour 1: 3.9, 4.3, 4.7, and 4.6. Hour 2: 4.4, 4.6, 4.7 and 4.5. The overrun for the main event did a 4.8. The weekend ratings are in for the WWF and while the shows on TNN stayed in the normal area, Heat's numbers on MTV are way down from recent weeks. Onto this week's numbers. Livewire did a 1.0 cable rating with a 3.4 share. Superstars did a 1.0 cable rating with a 3.3 share. Heat did just a 1.1 cable rating with a 2.2 share. The Heat replay did just a 0.6 cable rating with a 1.3 share. For those who missed it over the weekend, for the second week in a row, the 5/10 edition of Smackdown did a 3.7 broadcast rating. Apparently, the shoulder injury he suffered on RAW while wrestling Kurt Angle wasn't as serious as previously thought and he should work the pay-per-view match against William Regal with no problems. We'll have full Smackdown spoilers up on the site later tonight. -Chris Jericho on Byte This! this Friday Four-time Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho will be our guest this Friday on Byte This! You can read it by clicking http://www.kevinbigsexynash.com/forum0515.html Highlights include: *Nash is on a new diet and doing cardio, as he is looking to lose body fat and get back in shape. *Referred to the last two years as being the "most brutal" of his life, referring to the lack of management and direction in WCW. *He was not surprised at WCW going under, and knew when the sale took place that his money was not going to be effected. He knew he would start an 11 month paid vacation due to his guaranteed deal. *Doesn't know if any new promotions will start up, but does see the potential for overseas tours. *Nash recently went to Los Angeles about some potential film work, and while he was there met with The Rock, Chyna and "Beyond The Mat" director Barry Blaustein. *Pointed out that the 24 WCW wrestlers the WWF took are mostly green, and the proposed timeslot for WCW is bad, but if anyone can make it work, it's Vince McMahon. *Nash believes the downfall of WCW was when Bill Busch came in to run the company. *Feels the only chance the other wrestlers have to be treated fairly now is to unionize, and that Vince is the only game in town in the U.S. *He hung out with Scott Hall recently, and pointed out the success Scott Hall, now sober, is having in Japan. -WCW Cruiserweight Champion Shane Helms (hey, he still has the belt!), has updated his diary at www.shanehelms.com, filling us in on his recent indy appearances, his plans for the future, and what happened when he tried to go to a video arcade in an expensive sleeveless silk shirt! Source// Slam! ====================================================================== Article//============================================================= Leno's Top Ten - By Leno Greeting Drones!!!!!! STONECOLD IS A LIMP WEENIS, that's all there is to say. His athletic ability is currently being compared to the likes of HonkyTonk, Mr. X, the Haiti Kid, Ralph Machio, Ron Howard, and Bagwell's Mom. He has no moves, and he completely sucks, and that's all there is to it. Steve, kiss my three big submarine's that I left in Ling Suey's "All- U-Can-Eat" Chinese Buffet on Rochester and Auburn Rd. After I abused their bathroom, a Japanese crew of a hundred inspectors wouldn't want to check my "left-over cargo" if they had three gas masks a piece! And that ending on RAW (with HHH hitting Kane w/the chain) was as about as pointless as "Hudson Hawk:The Director's Cut." What's with Vince McMahon these days? Is he too busy thumbing his prune-sack to think of good story lines these days? Or is he prok'in that grey haired old lady he calls his wife--she's so grey, she leaves the driv'in to him! Before I get to my list, I wanted to read you a little mail I received my first week. This one is from a 30 year old named Betty...she SWORE to me that she was at a local show somewhere in the deep heart of Texas...and she observed HOSS FUNK wrestling. I said "Oh my god! No way? Dory Funk Jr. Wrestling? He's like 80, isn't he?" I read on: she then said he was wrestling pretty well. I was actually believing her, until she said that HE WAS WRESTLING IN A CAGE MATCH! And HE WON! She didn't tell me who he wrestled, so I figured it was Greg Gagne, or something. So then she went on to say that he wrestled IN A SECOND MATCH that night. Believe it or not, IT WAS A C4 match, with exploding nitrogen! I said to myself, Betsy is smoking crack...you know, the glass dick, girl, smack, whack, black, whatever you want to call it...something was a-miss. I thought she was lying. Then, she told me he was fighting Stonecold Steve Austin. Then, drones, I finally believed her. Top Ten Reasons Why the WWF Sucks Now 10. Mean Gene isn't around raping innocent 67 year old ladies with blue hair anymore...(so that's where he got his facial hair) 9. Lex Luger isn't around to get disqualified in title matches where there are no rules 8. King Kong Bundy can no longer have midgets like Lord Littlebrook for breakfast anymore 7. No more Mean Gene work-out tapes with Hogan (oh yeah, that's actually good) 6. Vince knows that the combined brain power of Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, and Randy Savage would match that of the likes of the modern day Earl Campbell. 5. Vince is thinking of hiring bad- ass Bryant Gumble to do the next Wrestlemania promos 4. The next featured ring valet is Hank, the angry dwarf 3. Magic Johnson will do "p-p-p-"play by play for SummerSlam 2. The winner of the next Royal Rumble gets a title shot during the next LUNAR ECLIPSE. 1. I've got two words for ya: NO COMPETITION Thank you drones, and remember: be kind, please rewind.
