"Looks like Vince McMahon isn't so invincible after all," is the opening line. -For the week ending May 6, Raw's two hours finished no. 1 and no. 2 in the cable ratings with 4.22 million households and 3.8 million households viewing each hour. The no. 3 show, Winston Cup Race on FX drew 2.62 million households. The highest rated NBA game that week (Utah vs. Dallas) drew 2.02 million households and finished no 9. It was the highest rated program on TBS that week. No show from TNT finished in the top 10. -Just hitting newstands, the new Rolling Stone for June. On the cover is "Hollywood's Next Action Star" -- The Rock. It features an interview with the Rock from the set of The Scorpion King. The Headline is "What Makes the Rock Hard? On Saturday, they aired a piece on some of the darker sides of wrestling including the lawsuit filed by Sable and showed some footage of her home in Orlando, Florida. She has a nice house. They also did some segments with the story of Owen Hart's death along with a short interview with Robert Hart. Chyna also was asked about bulimia which she talked about in her autobiography. She admitted to having implants and talked about how one of them had ruptured during a match. "You have to land boob-side up" she said. -"The Mummy Returns" remained tops at the box office this weekend, earning $32.2 million, well ahead of the competition. The Rock has a cameo in the movie. Source// LWN ====================================================================== Article//============================================================= Ventura talks: Media made big deal of XFL to make him look bad Although Vince McMahon wasn't willing to blame the media for the demise of the XFL during his humble press conference last Thursday, Jesse Ventura was. "For 12 weeks you had to dig around to try and find a score. It was irrelevant. It didn't matter. It was substandard football. And then, lo and behold, the league folds," he said during his weekly radio show on WCCO AM 830 in Minneapolis/St. Paul. "It's now a lead story on the nightly news and front page of both newspapers [in the Twin Cities]. Tell me that's not media bias. They didn't care about it when the league was going on. But when it folds, oh, it's, 'We got a chance to get the governor. We can nail him.'" Ventura's comments were picked up by newspapers across the country, including the New York Post. Ventura only had a one-year contract with the XFL, and sources close to both Ventura and WWFE say there was virtually no chance he'd be back for a second second season had it taken place. (Off-the-Wall Ideas and Predictions) by ~*Laine*~ - Week of May 14, 2001 ~"Now THAT'S 2Xtreme!"~ "I still don't understand why Eddie Guerrero has been helping us out lately," Jeff Hardy mused in his lazy southern twang. "I don't know either, but I think we can trust him," Matt drawled, liberally applying Manic Panic to his brother's hair. "That's not to say I won't keep my eye on him. Now, do you want 'blue-orange- purple', or 'red-green-yellow' this week?" Rolling her eyes and yanking the back of her thong underwear up about six inches, Lita said, "When you guys are done playing beauty parlor, do you think we could get to the ring?" It was scheduled to be a six-man, inter-gender tag match between Team Xtreme and Billy Gunn, Test, and Chyna, one of those handy "filler matches" with no feud backing it other than the forthcoming "spanking match" at Judgment Day. Eddie Guerrero was at ringside, sneaking long looks at Lita's t-back, unbeknownst to Matt and Jeff. It was apparent to anyone who was paying attention that Eddie's motives were less than innocent. As the match carried on, a pattern emerged. Every time Lita got the tag, she found Eddie Guerrero at her heels, warding off potential attackers. "Get him the hell out of there," Matt snarled in disgust as Eddie backed Test into a corner. "Lita can hold her own, and she knows if she needs help, we're right here." Jeff obligingly grabbed Eddie by the back of his mullet and yanked him aside. "Come on, man," Jeff pleaded. "You're really starting to piss Matt off. He feels like he can't perform his boyfriend-ly duties with you in there." As he climbed through the ropes (more gracefully this time than at Wrestlemania X7) and stood beside the ring, Eddie muttered to himself, "He'd be surprised what other 'boyfriend-ly duties' I could do better than him." Jeff's reprimand didn't stop Guerrero from eyeballing Lita for the rest of the match... but this time, it didn't escape Matt's attention. At last, the match came to a close with Lita and Chyna spanking each other into submission, Jeff flying through the air (with the greatest of ease) to nail the Swanton Bomb, and Matt finally growing angry enough to hit a flying leg-drop on Guerrero outside the ring. As the Hardyz' music played, Test, Billy Gunn, and Chyna began walking up the ramp, heads hung in shame. Spying the target of her affection, Lita slipped through the ropes, a big, sultry smile on her lips. Matt saw her coming and jumped up off the floor with his arms wide open... but Lita brushed past him! Utter bewilderment crossed Matt's face as he watched his "girlfriend" walk slowly toward... Eddie Guerrero! Kneeling beside the fallen Latino Heat, who was still recovering from Matt Hardy's attack, Lita lifted Eddie's head and whispered seductively in his ear: "Not in this lifetime!" Letting Eddie's head fall to the concrete once again, Lita stood and, to the disbelief of both Matt and Eddie, walked into the waiting embrace of... Chyna! "All that spanking really turned me on," Lita explained, smiling up at the Ninth Wonder of the World with her arms securely around Chyna's waist. "No matter how hard I tried, Matt would never get that dirty with me!" "Oh, I know, girl," Chyna agreed. "Only a woman can do the job 'right.'" Lita giggled. "Now THIS is a tag team I'm going to like being a part of..." ...and the rest is up to the WWF writers!
