UPN may have some leverage on the WWF since the company still wants the network to air XFL games next year. That is down from last week's 5.0. The most noteworthy thing about the ratings is that not one quarter hour on the show did a 5.0. That is a troubling sign. Quarter hours are as follows: Hour 1: 4.0, 4.6, 4.7, 4.8. Hour 2: 4.9, 4.7, 4.4 and 4.2. Overrun: 4.7. The other thing of note is that while the numbers grew throughout the first hour, they dipped steadily in the second. They came back somewhat for the overrun, but again, those are troubling numbers for the WWF. -The weekend ratings are in and are as follows: *Livewire did a 1.1 cable rating with a 3.7 share. *Superstars did a 1.0 cable rating with a 3.0 share. *Heat scored a 1.7 cable rating with a 3.1 share. *The Heat replay did a 0.8 cable rating with a 1.7 share. -Howard Stern announced on his radio show today that Mick Foley will be making an appearance on Stern's nationally syndicated radio show tomorrow (Thursday), no doubt to promote his new book. -The WWF has video clips from Insurrextion up at WWF.com. If you have a high speed connection and load the clips at 300K, it's almost as good as watching on TV. They also have a clip of Shane McMahon's insane elbow drop on Big Show from Backlash. -Last week the WWF finished as the 11th most searched word on the Lycos top 50. This is down 2 places from last week's rating. -WWFE's list of potential announcers for the WCW relaunch is down to five name candidates: Mike Tenay, Scott Hudson, Joey Styles, Mark Madden, and Jerry Lawler. Lawler is unlikely. Even though several others in WWFE are pushing for it, Vince McMahon is said to be against the move. To add more to the story, rumor has it Madden is being considered for an announcer slot when the new WCW comes to fruition. Other names being considered are Joey Styles, Mike Tenay, and Scott Hudson. -Scott Steiner recently had a meeting with Jim Ross, who is also the VP in Talent Relations in the WWF, in regards to possibly joining the new WCW. The meeting is said to have gone well, however, Ross did warn Steiner that his negative behaviour in WCW would not be tolerated in the WWF. -Hugh Morrus will be working for John Tenta's Intense Florida Wrestling on 5/18. They reported that Universal Studios originally estimated its three- day take at about $70.1 million, but was off by two million dollars. -The ECW bankruptcy hearings started yesterday (Tuesday) -There's an article currently up at SLAM!
