Thanks for reading. naidO// ====================================================================== TOP HEADLINE//======================================================== Dave Meltzer reports the Undertaker received plastic surgery yesterday to repair injuries suffered during Saturday's Insurrextion pay-per-view. During his match with Steve Austin and Triple H, Austin's knee brace ripped Undertaker's ear, causing a loss of balance and profusely bleeding. Undertaker had trouble standing up after the match and was visibly shaken by the injury. The surgery was done shortly after `Taker arrived back in America. Sources close to the situation say the injury reminded them of Mick Foley's ear ripping at the hands of Vader several years ago. The feeling within WWF is that they have just introduced Jerry Lynn and they don't want to take too much attention away from him with the debut of Tajiri. "I don't know when (WCW) will be back on again or if it ever will be," Flair said. "I don't know if I will be on the air again." At an autograph session, Flair discussed his future, his career (between 1981 and 1986 he estimates that he wrestled 380 times a year), and life on the road. Jurassic Park holds second place and is followed by Star Wars: Phantom Menace. On Friday night, the movie pulled in $23.4 million, which breaks the Toy Story 2 record of $22.6 million. On Saturday night, the movie pulled in $26.8 million, which breaks Jurassic Park record of $24.4 million. Driven, which came in second, only did $6,055,000. -After a bout with a severe concussion suffered while wrestling Mike Awesome in WCW last year, Vampiro has quite a busy schedule ahead of him the next few weeks. On Sunday 5/13, Vampiro will be hosting a grappling and ground fighting seminar at Senshido, a personal hand to hand fighting system based in Montreal, Canada. The session is scheduled to be filmed and released on video. Here are some of the choice comments out there: -"The ads give the Rock, the World Wrestling Federation star, equal billing with Fraser. This is bait-and-switch. To call his appearance a "cameo" would be stretching it. He appears briefly at the beginning of the movie, is transmuted into a kind of transparent skeletal wraith and disappears until the end of the film, when he comes back as the dreaded Scorpion King. I am not sure, at the end, if we see the real Rock or merely his face, connected to computer-generated effects (his scorpion is blown up to giant size, which has the unfortunate effect of making him look more like a lobster tail than a scorpion). (Off-the-Wall Ideas and Predictions) by ~*Laine*~ - Week of May 7, 2001 --"Your Olympic WHAT?"-- "Don't even tell me this," Triple H snarled, glaring at his filthy, disgusting, bottom-feeding, trashbag... wife. "Kurt Angle has asked you to become his manager... again?" Stephanie rolled her eyes and wheedled (as she was prone to do), "Hunter, I really don't see how this is a problem. He may be a whiny little pipsqueak, but he's my FRIEND, and he needs me to be there for him. Just because you two have had problems in the past..." Smoke began to curl from the Game's ears at such a rabid understatement, but he knew that when the billion-dollar princess had her mind set on something, he damn well better comply. He wanted no contact with that prenuptial agreement. For the next few weeks, Kurt dropped by the Helmsley dressing room at every opportunity, making nice with the "happy couple" as they dressed for their matches, insisting on group hugs "for good luck", even going so far as to make chit-chat with a silently seething Triple H as Stephanie's husband showered after a particularly grueling match. He even accompanied the couple to the ring on several occasions, the companionship sanctioned only by Daddy's little girl, of course. The cerebral assassin kept his mouth shut about his misgivings around his terribly naive wife, but he unleashed his fury in the ring with his fists and his trusty sledgehammer, pummelling his opponents mercilessly regardless of their involvement (or lack thereof) in the precarious marital situation. His temper was reaching a breaking point. "He's trying to get close to my wife!" Sir Nose-a-Lot fumed, pounding on the wall for effect. "And she doesn't even see it! 'He's just my friend, Hunter!' ... my ass!" "Why don't you take care of the mealy-mouthed little bastard?" the Texas garter snake suggested, applying chapstick to his parched lips in preparation for his next meeting with Vince McMahon's ass. An insidious grin spread across the Game's face. "Three I's, huh? I'll teach him my own version of the three I's... instability, insanity, and inhumanity." Triple H and his nose stormed into the Olympic Hero's dressing room with a force so violent, he nearly tore the door off its hinges. "Whoa, Tiger!" Kurt exclaimed (ever-so-wholesome as always). "Holy cow! What's got you so ticked off?" "I'm sick and tired of you trying to pry your way into my marriage!" the Game roared, backing Kurt and his receding hairline into a corner with a firm grip on the gold medalist's throat. "I've warned you for the last time to stay away from my wife ... now, I will become your pain." Wide-eyed, licking his lips nervously, Kurt replied, "I think you've misread my intentions, Triple H." The Game stared into Angle's eyes, a combination of mindless fury and utter confusion crossing his troll-like face. "See, big boy," Kurt purred. "It's not your wife I've been trying to get close to. It's you..." ...and -- as all the men squirm uncomfortably -- the rest is up to the WWF writers! Until next week -- "dreamlike crazy..." P.S. Hey, it could happen!
