Tajiri is currently taking time off to be with his family. -Chyna will be a guest on ABC's "The View" on May 9. -WWF.com article - Phat Man: Bad injury, big comeback His ear having completely healed, Rikishi returned to the World Wrestling Federation on SmackDown! The Phat Man had been out since early March when he suffered a busted ear drum so severe that it required surgery. That is goos news for the WWF considering the finale of Survivor II was on at the same time. -The WWF has published an article about the current Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle feud and how it has been based on amatuer wrestling and how that is molding in the with sports entertainment genre. For the April 23-29 time period, hour two (War Zone) scored a 4.2 in the ratings. That's the same number it pulled in last week. The first hour of Raw rated a 3.9. Last week it had garnered a 3.8. The 11pm-1am timeslot looks the best option considering TNN has moved the Grand Ol' Opry to Country Music Television. They are still hoping at a June launch date, but it could be pushed back to September at the worst. -Rey Mysterio Jr will also be a free agent when his Time Warner contract is cycled out in a few days. He, nor the other free agents in Disqo and Konnan have had any contact with the WWF at this point. -On his official Web site, Hugh Morrus has made fans aware that there is a phony interview with him on the Net. In it, Morrus is quoted as saying that he accepted a buyout from AOL and was not interested in working for the WWF. According to Morrus, the interview is a complete fabrication. This week, Honky talks about his cousin, Jerry Lawler, in a commentary called Jerry "the Whining Cry Baby" Lawler. At this time details are sketchy, but it looks like they will be trying to secure a TV deal with FOX or USA Networks, if the promotion gets off the ground and if the networks are interested. Source// The Law ====================================================================== Article//============================================================= The Ross Report -Dean Malenko is having shoulder problems and received a cortisone shot that has improved the problem. -Scotty 2 Hotty is still having problems with his neck, and an MRI last week showed little or no improvement from two months ago. He may have to undergo surgery to correct the problem. -Perry Saturn has a severely bruised biceps but will work through it. -William Regal has some discomfort with his shoulder and elbow but will continue working, although he will not be 100 percent for a few weeks. -K-Kwik is having more problems with his ribs and will be unbooked until they are healed. -D-Von Dudley's left shoulder is sore but from all accounts will not require surgery. -Grand Master Sexay cut his leg in Denver but is going to be OK. -Mick Foley was interviewed Thursday by the New York Times for a feature on his new book, "Foley is Good," which is officially on sale on May 8. I am reading it now and thoroughly enjoying the 400-plus- page body of work. I hope you check it out because you will not be disappointed. -Sunday Night HEAT on MTV this week will feature Triple H and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley live at WWF New York with a different format/presentation. -Raven has been doing a terrific job with media appearances promoting live events and will be utilized more in this area in the future. -Lita will make an appearance in Los Angeles on May 17 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and will do an MTV radio tour the next day in LA. -Tazz will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the May 18 Mets- Dodgers game at Shea Stadium. -Because negotiations with TNN are still on going, no firm date has been set for the WCW re-launch. Several alternative plans are being discussed, however, and the project will definitely be moving forward, contrary to what might be reported elsewhere. I met with Stacey Keibler and Jerry "The Wall" Tuite this week in Stamford, Conn., which were two excellent meetings. We have also made some significant headway with contract negotiations with key talents currently not under contract to WWFE. -Aside from the on-going TV negotiations, which we fully expect to be finalized in the next few weeks, talent meetings and negotiations are progressing very well. Announcers, writers and other support staff are yet to be finalized but I expect that to happen as soon as we know the exact direction of the new WCW TV program. I will be in the Tampa area next week to meet with a variety of people who are either already under contract to us -- including highly regarded Bill DeMott, aka Hugh Morris -- and others who have expressed an interest in working with us. This will finalize my first round of talks with many who will eventually comprise the WCW roster. Two major meetings regarding the re-launch were held in Stamford on Thursday with key Federation executives. This was without fail the best week we have had preparing for the much-anticipated debut of the new WCW. -Nice reviews on the work of Paul Heyman's TV commentary recently as he and yours truly are beginning to gel at the announce table. We are both working very hard to improve sooner rather than later in the hopes of providing everyone an entertaining product from that area. -I hope to speak with Tommy Dreamer about a new role in the company very soon. Tommy brings a lot to the table and we hope to be able to do business with him either with the Federation or WCW in the future. -We are very pleased with new Light Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn's recent outings. Hopefully, Jerry will help give this division the jump start it deserves. -Expect to see several creative changes to be initiated on the Federation roster soon. Many ideas are being discussed and these storyline changes will help freshen up our TV presentation. I am not sure what creative changes will occur first but the ideas being considered are certainly intriguing with some downright gold. Bottom line is that these changes in direction will provide better opportunities for deserving talents to have a chance in moving up to the next level. -The Rock's role in "The Mummy Returns," which just opened nationwide, is a limited one even though he is very visible in the movie's promotion. "The Scorpion King," currently under production, will feature the People's Champion in a big way. There is absolutely no doubt that the Rock will be back in the Federation sometime this summer -Christian is getting married on May 25 in Florida. -The Undertaker has never been more popular and is right where he should be, in my opinion. When Kane returns to action in a few weeks, we expect him to be even more established at the top of many of our cards, as well. Both men have really elevated their game in the past few weeks. -Mark Henry, Randy Orton and Flash -- all talents from Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in Louisville, Ky. -- looked very good during dark matches last week. Jericho smashing Regal with a trash can during a match with Rhyno was great except how many times have we seen Jericho/Regal at a PPV? Same thing with Angle/Benoit. Although the "got medals" thing is great. Only thing I noticed from RAW was, anyone else think Chyna is going heel? And finally when is Linda McMahon going to do something that will totally rock the WWF? And when is one of Mick Foley's little contracts going to do anything important? So sadly I have nothing else this week but to give the award to... Rakishi Yes, fat boy is back...yippie! I'm so excited (actually compared to the rest of Smackdown it was exciting.) So now the Evil Alliance has a new member and I guess 2 members because wherever Rakishi go, so go Haku. Maybe Austin and Triple h will give the tag titles to the Islanders?
