Thanks for reading. naidO// ====================================================================== TOP HEADLINE//======================================================== Official SmackDown! preview: On Monday's RAW, Kane's left arm was brutally attacked by Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H -- the Two-Man Power Trip. The Big Red Machine's injuries were so serious that it is unknown whether he will even be on SmackDown! this Thursday on UPN. One man who most likely will be on SmackDown! is Kane's brother -- the Undertaker. After seeing what the Power Trip did to Kane on RAW, the Dead Man can't be in a good mood. Payback could be a you-know- what this Thursday on UPN! Several matches have already been signed for Thursday's show. One half of the Power Trip -- Triple H -- will defend the Intercontinental Championship against the man he won it from, Jeff Hardy. In another title bout, Light Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn takes on Grand Master Sexay. Also, X-Pac tangles with Raven, Hardcore Holly challenges Kurt Angle, and Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy will take on Edge, Christian and Rhyno in Handicap action. Plus much more! Plus, rumor has it that matches could be announced for Judgment Day on SmackDown! It all goes down this Thursday on UPN -- it's SmackDown! Check your local listings for time and channel! Source// WWF.com ====================================================================== News from the WWF//=================================================== -The WWF is at the beginning of a disturrbing trend in ratings. Raw drew a 4.98 rating and 7.7 share (Last week: 5.1). If you look at the trends in the numbers since Nitro went "bye-bye", Raw has picked up virtually no viewers at all on Mondays. So basically 2.6 million regular Nitro viewers from a month ago have stopped watching wrestling. If that isn't bad enough, Heat is usually a PPV buy rate precursor, but Heat did a 1.08 rating, which unless memory serves me wrong, is the lowest rating for the show in its history. Livewire did an 0.90 and Superstars did an 0.86. Smackdown's 3.7 from last week put it in the No. 81 slot in the prime time ratings with 5.83 million total viewers. As a comparison, Raw on Monday had 6.47 million viewers. Vince and company better get on the ball and turn things around... -Smackdown's 3.7 from last week put it iin the No. 81 slot in the prime time ratings with 5.83 million total viewers. -Watch 'Diary of The Rock' tonight on MTTV After appearing on The Tonight Show on Tuesday night, the People's Champ has a full line-up of television appearances scheduled this week. Tonight, MTV will air the world premiere of "Diary of The Rock" at 7 p.m. ET. Tomorrow, the 'Great One' will be a guest on 'The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn' on NBC. On Saturday, the six-time Federation Champion will be featured on FOX's MADtv. For more information on these appearances and more, check out TheRock.com! -The tentative line-up for 5/20 Judgmentt Day pay-per-view is as follows. Obviously, Steve Austin will be defending the WWF Title against the Undertaker. Triple H is scheduled to wrestle Kane. The Big Show will grapple with Test. You can also most probably count on Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho vs. William Regal feuds continuing at the PPV. If the WWF...as stacked as they are have practically the same card for three PPV's in a row, something's wrong. -Lilian Garcia missed Raw Monday due to minor surgery. She had a polyp removed from her throat and will be fine. That is why Howard Finkel filled in for her on Monday. -Apparently, Nova hasn't yet been contaccted by the WWF after his first dark match a few weeks ago. Accoridng to sources, Nova's match went a bit over the time limit alloted, and this may have discouraged the WWF regarding Nova. However, Nova is confident that the WWF would contact him, maybe for the new WCW. -Mark Henry did wrestle in a dark match at Smackdown! taping on Tuesday. However, despite of being fit, he didn't put up a good show. Insiders now believe that there maybe some more time left before Mark Henry actually returns to television. -On cinescape.com there's an article on Chyna that goes into the fact that she's no longer being considered to play Wonder Woman and Sandra Bullock is: http://www.cinescape.com/insider/ (check the May 2 notes) -Also at cinespace.com, there's an articcle on The Rock that gives some insight into the Mummy Returns prequel and he also says he'll be "paying homage" to his WWF fans: http://www.cinescape.com/insider/ (check the May 2 notes) Source// wwf.com, ultimo, 1wrestling ====================================================================== News from WCW//======================================================= -Check out www.JeffTheRef.com today to hhear Jeff "the Ref" Kohl's exclusive interview with Sid Vicious. Tune in to hear Sid speak out about his injury status and what really happened to him that night, Chris Benoit, the scissor incident, playing softball, the WCW sale to the WWF, as well as his thoughts on possibly retiring from wrestling for good! You can listen to the interview by heading over to JeffTheRef.com now. -The reason why WCW.com changed the copyyright statement from WWFE Inc. to WCW Inc. is that they want the fans to believe that WCW is bought by Shane McMahon and not WWFE. -WCW.com have added an article on WWF's Backlash PPV where Shane McMahon, the new owner of WCW beat Big Show. To read it, head on over to WCW.com. -More rumors regarding Test have come upp. Some sources believe that Test maybe kept in the WWF, as an "outsider" from WCW. If this is to happen, look for Test to feud with HHH and Stephanie McMahon. -Hugh Morrus has released an official sttatement on his website http://www.generalrectionusa.com that he has accepted a buyout from AOL Time Warner contract and is now a free agent. However, he hasn't yet been contacted by the WWF. As the cover suggests, there is a really good shoot interview with Steve Austin in the latest issue. In it, Austin talks about his injury, what it was like while he was away and what his expectations were when he came back to the WWF. There is also an interesting feature on Shawn Michaels, which was done when the WWF were counting on him returning to the WWF. Of course, Michaels was sent home from the Smackdown taping before WrestleMania, when the WWF thought he wasn't ready to work. There are also articles on Haku, the APA, K Kwik, a piece on Jim Ross's battle with Bells Palsy, a neat look at former wrestlers as agents and a column from Jim Ross where he talks, in-depth, about the WWF's developmental system. Oh yeah, it also has a look at the infamous "Tuesday Night Titans" show, which if you were not a fan in the mid 80s, it's impossible to do justice in when describing. It'll get better as the weeks go by. :) I decided to join naidO's faction after I realized that every good team needs the help of a woman. The Hardy Boyz have Lita; Right to Censor has Ivory; the Radicalz have Terri; DX had Tori and Chyna (who wasn't exactly "womanly" at the time, but she suits my purpose here); the Acolytes have Jacqueline; the Hollys have Molly; and Edge and Christian have Kurt. (Oops!) This column is, simply put, the fanatical ravings of my oxygen- starved, Canadian brain... storyline ideas that occur to me on the rare occasions when my neurons are firing, making me ponder about the WWF's team of writers, "So, why don't they...?" Anyway, that brilliant segway executed, here I am... and here's the first installment of "SO, WHY DON'T THEY...?" Hope you enjoy it! "What Does Everybody Want? ... MIDGETS!" In the weeks since Al Snow's return (accompanied, of course, by Vito the Finger and Handsome Jimmy Shoulders, his favorite companions under four feet tall), it seemed he had an invisible bullseye painted on his forehead -- backward, of course. First, in the middle of Al's triumphant return speech, as he and his tiny compadres basked in the warm wave of applause generously bestowed upon them by the fans, out of nowhere appeared X-Factor, armed only with a pair of nunchuks, Justin Credible's ferocious bunny teeth, and the blinding glare reflected off Albert's turtle-waxed cranium. The villainous trio made short work (no pun intended) of Al and his pals, leaving them battered, bruised, folded, spindled, and mutilated in the middle of "this very ring". The next night, Al began sputtering incoherently into a microphone at the top of the ramp, vehemently protesting the "gratuitous act of heinosity" which was so unnecessarily visited upon them the previous evening. Just as his protestation reached a crescendo, he was struck simultaneously by two steel chairs, the impact of which created quite a satisfying "BBBBOOOONNNNNGGGGGG" sound on Al's skull. The "conchairto" was wielded by none other than Christian and Edge, who had a protest of their own: "That'll teach you to rob our vocabulary, you head-carrying reekazoid!" "Yeah, suck on that painsickle for a while." Just to wrap up the loose ends, the golden- haired duo planted Vito and Jimmy with a nasty spear and the dreaded Unprettier. And just when Al Snow and his miniature bodyguards thought it could get no worse... Each night, a barrage of violence awaited them, whether it was Regal setting them up in a handicap match with the Big Show (his favorite toy), Triple H administering jumbo-sized pedigrees to Al's vertically impaired buddies, Kaientai dispensing their own pint-sized variety of "Eeeeevil" (...indeed), or, worst of all, the abduction of the beloved Head by Raven, who diligently and vandalously scrubbed "EM PLEH" from her plaster forehead before he taught her about "fate, destiny, and pain" by running her over with a shopping cart full of street signs and inexplicable Frankenstein puppets... This was the last straw. Al, Vito, and Handsome Jimmy disappeared, not to be seen until the following week's Raw. The action was heating up in the tag team match between Too Cool and the Right to Censor. Scotty Too Hottie was just winding up the worm when, suddenly and unexpectedly, the sound of drums exploded in the air... the opening to Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It"! From beneath the TitanTron appeared Al Snow, leading what appeared to be an army of nearly thirty tiny people in combat gear! The miniature camouflaged platoon marched to the ring as fast as their little legs could carry them, and carnage ensued, "dancing goggles" and black ties flying every which way as Al and his dozens of furious midgets wreaked havoc on their hapless victims. Finally, when the ring had been cleared (except, of course, for Al and his tiny posse), Sergeant Snow grabbed a microphone and snarled, "NOW who wants to bully us around?" He extended a challenge to every wrestler in the back for anyone brave enough to answer the call.... ...and the rest is up to the WWF writers! Until next week -- "dreamlike crazy..." ====================================================================== Remember...=========================================================== -Remember that if you've missed any TV SShows, PPV's or more?
