In it, Ross gave his opinions of the matches from WrestleMania and AXXESS, which you can read by clicking http://www.wwf.com/news/rossreport/ Also in the report, he said that there are no plans for Bobby Heenan and Gene Okerlund with the company right now, "but never say never in this business". He said Rikishi had surgery on his eardrum and would be out four more weeks. Bob Holly will be back in action in the next few days. Where WCW is concerned, he said that "over the next two to three weeks, a staff will be assembled consisting of agents, referees, ring crew, ring announcers, TV broadcasters and, most importantly, the wrestlers themselves." He said that the first TV taping is, and he emphasized this, tentatively scheduled for 5/9 in Trenton, NJ. He said that no names have been listed for that show. He said that the talent roster is being assembled. Agents "could be named as early as next week". The initial talent roster will be named in the next few days. Then, more people will be added after that. The rumor I am hearing is that former ECW workers will have a good shot at working there. He said that the WCW and WWF TV shows will be "kept separate with very little crossover, except for Shane McMahon's involvement." He said inter-promotional angles are possible down the road but probably not this year. He said that "WCW must be rebuilt and refocused". He called the Saturday night timeslot on TNN tentative as well. ______________________________________________________________________ [News from The WWF] **All the WCW wrestlers that were in attendance at Mania were flown home Monday. A lot of the planning of what will be done with WCW as far as storylines are concerned is likely to be discussed over the next two weeks. **The original plan for the Gimmick Battle Royal was for the One Man Gang to come in as Akeem. That didn't take place due to the fact that he has lost more than 100 pounds since the days of Akeem and the costume no longer fits him. **After they went off the air last night, The Rock got up and got polite applause from the crowd, then headed to the back. **The following cable ratings are in for this past weekend, according to Nielsen Media Research. Superstars did a 1.0 rating with a 3.0 share. Livewire did a 1.1 rating with a 3.3 share. Heat did a 1.5 rating with a 2.5 share. Heat's replay did a 0.8 rating with a 1.6 share, which is good since it went up against WrestleMania. **In something that will make you appreciate his effort at WrestleMania even more, HHH worked his match with the Undertaker with what I have been told was an extreme case of bronchitis. Despite being ill, HHH went out and had a great match with the Undertaker. Former ECW manager of champions Bill Alfonso was backstage at Raw last night visiting. **Rumour has it that the main event for the BackLash pay-per-view could be Austin and Triple H against The Undertaker and The Rock. **As last night's Raw Is War broadcast showed, the editors at TSN still can't make up their minds what content they are censoring in Canada. The video of Regal's attack on Trish Stratus was removed from the show. Fans saw canned crowd shots and heard the audio until Stratus' beating had ended. However, Rhyno's Goring of Molly Holly later in the show made it to air. **Internet reports of Matt Hardy being in a car accident after WrestleMania are completely false. On April 2, Kmart announces it is re-launching a new retail initiative representing a significant shift in Kmart's marketing strategy. Martha Stewart, Jaclyn Smith, Kathy Ireland and WCW's Goldberg will roll in on the red carpet and meet Kmart shoppers, who will be able to record their own renditions of the famous catch phrase, "Attention Kmart Shoppers!" -- for a chance to win a $5,000 shopping spree.
