On Wrestlemania VII they show the skit with Steve Allen and the Bolsheviks preparing to sing the Russian national anthem. This was either a jab at the PTC or a salute to Allen since Allen passed just last year. Not sure when they put all the clips together. **Don't forget that Vince McMahon is on Bob Costas' HBO show tonight at 11 p.m. while Steve Austin will be on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno as well at 11:30 p.m. **This month's Raw magazine is out and it's another good issue. The issue features an interview with Vince McMahon that was a really good read. The issue also features excerpts of Chyna autobiography. There is a feature on Tori and her yoga routine (with some hot pictures), a story about Rock becoming a movie star, a piece on Sgt. Slaughter and his run as an anti-American villain, and a nice piece on Molly Holly. http://www.wwf.com/magazines/raw/ **Val Venis could be leaving Right To Censor soon. Lawler said that there is more to this than meets the eye. He says that one of the WWF superstars could have pulled a power play with Vince. The King also said he thought he knew who Vince McMahon was. Now he feels he doesn't who he is. Lawler said that Paul Heyman did a better job the first week on Raw than he did the second week. He was also not surprised by what the WWF said in regards to the whole deal with him and the Kat. Lawler also talked about his candidacy for mayor and his son. Lawler said Grandmaster Sexay was "a better dancer than he was". Lawler addressed the whole controversy with NBC, the XFL, and HONDA, which some say may have gotten him in trouble there due to a negative comment he made about Honda on his last XFL broadcast, not realizing that Honda was a big money sponsor on NBC. Overall, this was an interesting interview. He did share some interesting things with the listeners. **XFL ratings for the weekend - The Saturday NBC game did a 2.4 broadcast rating with a 4.5 share. - The Sunday UPN game did a 1.2 broadcast rating with a 1.9 share. - The Sunday TNN game did a 0.8 cable rating with a 1.5 share. **On March 16th, The Secret World of Professional Wrestling will be airing on the TLC channel, at 10:00PM EST. Shooting begins in Los Angeles on March 14 and will intensify quickly thereafter. Industry sources have told me that the role will require The Rock to be on the set of the picture almost daily when it begins shooting, and may very well mean that he will not be on much, if any, WWF shows for a while after WrestleMania. The report also announced that Kelly Hu, who was on the series Martial Law and is a very pretty woman, will be the female lead in the film. The report inferred that she will probably play the love interest of Rock's character, The Scorpion King, in the movie. The Rock's character will be better defined in the second movie of "The Mummy" series, "The Mummy Returns", which will be released this summer. In this summer's movie, he is a heel. In The Scorpion King, it will present him as a good guy, who rises from nothing to become the first Pharaoh of Egypt, kind of like how Darth Vader was portrayed in the Star Wars movies. MEATHEADS? BIGOTS? NO, JUST THE McMAHON'S" "Honey, we're going to the McMahon's for dinner Saturday night." "Sorry, I can't make it, I haven't had my rabies shots." The McMahon family; Emperor Vince, Queen Linda, Princess Stephanie and Prince Shane; your typical All-American Billionaires, are the most dysfunctional set of loonies that most wrestling fans have come to love and hate and love and hate and .... Emperor Vince and his brood have taken family values to a new level. No family has done more for family values since The Borgia's. At last look, Emperor Vince was doing the horizontal mambo with Miss Wonderful; Queen Linda was institutionalized and living in Never Never Land so Emperor Vince could keep dancing and not have to give her half his hard earned dollars if he divorced her; Princess Stephanie was married to HHH, who fed her some happy pills on her wedding day as she was prepared to marry Test, kidnapped and married her; Prince Shane just returned after recuperating from being thrown off the TitanTron to kick the crap out of Dear old Dad. Sounds like your next door neighbors, less all the money, doesn't it? The McMahon family saga has been an ongoing angle in The WWF for the past several years. Who is aligned with who changes almost as often as Bastion Booger changes his Fruit of The Looms. Sometimes it is the males members against the female members (Check the Kuma Sutra); this time it appears to be Daddy and his little "Two Dollar Trash Bag Ho" v. Mommy Dearest and her sweet baby boy; Emperor and Princess v. Queen and Prince. Where does all this leave us? It leaves us watching every edition of RAW and SmackDown to see what will happen next. With the return of Prince Shane, who goes back and forth from Junior A*shole to Hero each time he reappears, the scene is set for another chapter in this happy family saga. Who will side with The Prince and who will side with The Emperor? New alliances will be formed and new faces will appear. The wrestling business has changed a bit hasn't it? Speaking of families, Emperor Vince showed how family oriented he really is. With Wrestlemania only weeks away and its Main Event pitting the two most popular wrestlers in the world, Stone Cold Steve Austin (SCSA) and The Rock against each other for the WWF Championship, what did the Emperor do? He assigned (and when was the last time you heard of a manager being "assigned" to a wrestler)? SCSA's (real life) wife Debra (and the Puppies) as The Rick's manager. Didn't some guy with a beard once say "A house divided against itself cannot stand?" Oh well. This has led to SCSA racing to the ring to help The Rock in order to protect The Puppies. This past week SCSA warned both Our American Zero and The Rock, who were facing each other for the Title, that no harm better come to her. If you didn't know at that point that The Puppies were in a pile of deep poop, you should have been watching Ally McBeal. After losing the match, and ever the gallant gentleman, Zero applied his ankle lock to Debra. As The Puppies cryied out in pain, enter SCS, followed by an ass kicking to Zero for his actions and another one to The Rock for allowing it to happen. Having Debra in The Rock's corner is pure genius. As if the match itself wasn't enough, this is icing on the cake. SCSA has to protect his beloved (either that or he gets to sleep with the cattle) and as a result it involves him in all of The Rock's matches leading up to Wrestlemania. Isn't family wonderful! While we are talking about family, The Emperor's son-in-law HHH, 2000 Wrestler of the Year, is getting the pointed end of the Punji Stick. He beat SCSA in a Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match at the last PPV, No Way Out, and in doing so took two consecutive falls from him, a first. Shouldn't that earn him a shot in the Wrestlemania Main Event, despite SCSA's guaranteed one? I think so. If anything, it should be a Triple Threat Match. HHH has proven he is "The Game" and his reward: a match against The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Don't misunderstand me; I am one of the Taker's biggest fans. I would love nothing better than to see him hold the Title once more before he rides off to that big Funeral Parlor in the sky. However, HHH deserves a place in the Main Event. The Emperor is fond of saying that anything can happen in The WWF, so we may yet see HHH, or even all four of them in the Main Event, but I am not going to hold my breathe. There is probably a better chance that The Emperor will kiss and make up with Uncle Ted. So before you go to bed tonight, do what the McMahon family might: Kick the cat out the door; lock the dog in the dark basement; slip your spouse (significant other) a dose of nightshade; kick the crap out of your son and shackle his a*s to the bed post; kiss you daughter goodnight; and return to your room ... before dawn.
