Jerry Lynn's contract is signed and they're still working on a program for him. Tajiri's contract hasn't been received by the WWF offices but is signed at this point. Meltzer further states that Rhino MAY be introduced this week as well as Scott Vick and Memphis standout Steve Bradley. No mention of what program each wrestler will be involved in. Shawn Michaels MAY also make an appearence tonight on RAW. As mentioned in an earlier post, Mick Foley was approached to start up an angle with McMahon but declined wrestling him at WrestleMania X- Seven (Wrestling Observer) ______________________________________________________________________ [News from The WWF] **Quick NO WAY OUT results: - Big Show d. Raven for the Hardcore Title - Chris Jericho d. Benoit, Guerrero & X-Pac to retain his IC title - S M Helmsley d. Trish Stratus - Triple H d. SCSA in the third fall - Dudley Boyz d. Kane/Taker and E & G to retain their Tag Titles - Rock d. Kurt Angle to become new WWF Champion **If you ordered the No Way Out PPV last night, you most likely noticed that referee Earl Hebner stopped counting a pin attempt by The Rock on Kurt Angle towards the end of the match, immidiatly after The Rock nailed a Rock Bottom. Angle was clearly pinned by the move but Hebner only counted to two, and then acted as if Angle had kicked out of the pin, which he didn't. This was apparently Hebner's fault according to reports, many backstage were not too happy about Hebner's **No serious injuries to report from last night's PPV happenings. While taking a bump, Edge jammed his back, and The Undertaker recieved a "hardway" cut from a chair. As for the brutal HHH/Austin matchup, I'm sure both men left with some bumps and bruises, but other than that, the only obvious note is that both men bladed during the course of their match. (Cred: wwf.com, ultimowrestling) _______________ [News from WCW] **Official Nitro Preview: Feline Fury According to the office of the commissioner, The Cat will have a huge announcement on Nitro -- a decision that will "affect the very structure of WCW from top-to-bottom." Considering Ms. Jones' recent injury and CEO Ric Flair's rampant rule-breaking, one can only speculate what the three-time karate champion has planned. The office also confirmed that the official brackets for the cruiserweight tag tournament will be announced in New Orleans. The office of the CEO has been notably quiet this week, which, in the past, has translated to ill-happenings. The CEO and The Cat, respectively, have released only two official matches for Nitro: Dustin Rhodes vs. Jeff Jarrett Special referee: Ric Flair To the chagrin of second-generation superstar Dustin Rhodes, this match marks the Nature Boy's return to the ring. Can Dustin survive the CEO's bias, and The Chosen One's brutality? Shane Helms vs. Shannon Moore Last week, Shannon reunited with former 3 Count member Evan Karagias. According to The Cat, Shane requested this match to confront his former partner and pupil -- and to teach him one final lesson about loyalty. The Real Story In a special interview, DDP will discuss his spotted history with world heavyweight champion Scott Steiner, including events never revealed on national television.
