Nash gave Midajah a side slam during his match with Scott Steiner. Midajah joins Major Gunns, Tygress, Paisley, Daffney, Leia Meow, and Torrie Wilson as females given the axe by WCW. Wilson's exit was also due to an "injury" by Hugh Morrus. The only other female in WCW besides the Nitro Girls is Stacey Keibler. Meltzer also reports there are no plans to bring her back, either. ______________________________________________________________________ [News from The WWF] **The rumour mill is cranking along with news that Triple H could be taking on Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania while Austin and The Rock mix it up for the WWF World Title. Mick Foley versus Vince McMahon is another match making the rounds on the grappling gossip circle. (Cred: SLAM! Wrestling) _______________ [News from WCW] **There are major changes in plans being considered right now for WCW. At this point they are leaning toward not going dark after all for a number of reasons. A final decision will probably have to be made in the next day or so. **Well, that was fast, here's more of the Greed lineup following Nitro: WCW GREED LINE-UP for 3/18 in Jacksonville, FL - Scott Steiner vs. DDP for WCW title - Rick Steiner vs. Hugh Morrus for U.S. title - Palumbo & O'Haire vs. Bagwell & Luger for WCW tag titles - Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Shane Helms for cruiserweight title - Cruiserweight tag team title tournament finals - Cat vs. Kanyon - Team Canada vs. Kronik - Jeff Jarrett vs. Dustin Rhodes **The idea of showing a vignette of Kid Romeo coming into WCW came about as a result of a lot of criticism of not showing any promos for AJ Styles and Air Paris last week before they debuted. This way WCW hopes Romeo will get a good deal more of a reaction than without a vignette showing before his debut. No word on when his in-ring debut will be. **As noted on Nitro, it looks like Evan Karagias and Shannon Moore are now back together as 3 Count. Jaime Knoble and Shane Helms will now be getting big face pushes in the Cruiserweight singles division, while Karagias and Moore will go after the WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles. **AJ Styles and Air Paris vs. The Boogie Knights will take place on this week's Thunder. This signals the return of the formerly injured Disco Inferno who has fully recovered from a back injury. **An interesting article in the Beaver County Times in Pennsylvania takes an interesting, albeit brief, look at the career of Shane Douglas. It talks about how Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels used the politics of professional wrestling to hold him back, and how he succeeded in spite of it. It also talks about how he stayed with ECW until his checks bounced. The most interesting revelations come from Douglas himself, who comments that he has not spoken to any of his former teammates (Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn) since they went to the WWF without him last year. Douglas says they went to the WWF without even telling him, and that Chris Benoit never returned his phone call. Why this did not happen was not announced. However, it is still expected that York and Matthews will debut with WCW, and may even be included in the Cruiserweight Tag Team Tournament leading up to WCW Greed. (Cred: 1wrestling, ultimowrestling) __________________ [In other news...] **Bruno Sammartino is said to be appalled at a recent interview translated from Italian that attributed him making comments about Bret Hart using cocaine. Sammartino said that he never knew Hart that well and would never have said anything like that. He did admit that he called Hart a hypocrite in the interview he did while in Italy being honored in his home town. Sammartino said that Hart was critical of things Sammartino said when Sammartino was critical of the WWF, but that years later, Hart said a lot of those same things. (Cred: the law) ______________________________________________________________________ [Article] Minnesota lawmakers propose moonlighting bill ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Some state lawmakers want to put a halt to Jesse Ventura's moonlighting. The governor has spent recent Saturdays working as an XFL television commentator. On Monday, a House panel endorsed a proposal to limit such activities beginning in 2003, when Ventura's term ends. ``This is not about Gov. Ventura specifically,'' said Rep. Phil Krinkie, the bill's sponsor. ``This is about what the office of governor or any other constitutional office is.'' The bill would create a presumption that it is a conflict of interest for a governor or other top state officials to make money from outside activities. Ventura, who says he is leaning toward seeking a second term, has said repeatedly that his numerous moneymaking endeavors take place on his own time - not during the government workweek. Spokesman John Wodele reiterated Monday that the governor and his administration are ``focused'' on state business, and that the bill is unnecessary.
