Steve Corino, Lita, Bobby Heenan and King Kong Bundy were guests on the final edition of Rasslin Radio. The major news coming out of the show revolved around Steve Corino and where he is going now. About 20 minutes prior to Corino coming on the show, Bundy was talking about being on a flight with Corino last week and Bundy started talking about how Corino recently signed with WCW. When Corino was asked to comment all he said was he could not confirm anything. Corino did say it was safe to say his alignment in the "Impact Players" team was over and that it is 99.9% a sure thing that he will not be at the ECW PPV if there is one. Corino hopes that there is an ECW PPV but he doesn't think it will happen. I do not want to stir anything up, but if you listen to what is said it will be easy for everyone to draw their own conclusions. ______________________________________________________________________ [News from The WWF] **At a house show in Evansville, Justin Credible worked his first match since returning to the WWF. He lost to K-Kwik. **The Associated Press reports that NBC's overnight ratings for the XFL continued to dip. Saturday night's prime-time game between Los Angeles and Las Vegas posted a 3.8 rating and 7 share, down 25 percent from the previous week's 5.1 and 9 share. Since the new league's 10.3 rating and 17 share for its first week, XFL ratings have dropped 63 percent. The rating is the percentage of all homes with TVs, whether or not they are in use. One rating point represents about 1.01 million households. The share is the percentage of homes with TVs in use. Overnight ratings cover about 63 percent of the nation's population. Kevin Nash to retain his title and retire Nash **NITRO PREVIEW: Big Goodbyes Add one more superstar to Scott Steiner's impressive list of casualties. Last night at Superbrawl, Kevin Nash suffered more than just unprecedented interference by CEO Ric Flair and Midajah during his World Title Match. Due to stipulation Flair concocted during the main event battle, Nash can never wrestle again. WCW.com has learned that Nash has been asked by Nitro organizers to attend the Huntsville show, however, to deliver some final words concerning his career. According to the office of the CEO, Flair and the Magnificent Seven will be celebrating their accomplishments over the past few months and Superbrawl Revenge - but will also be focusing on "the final missing pieces in CEO Flair's WCW." The office did reveal that one mission would be the acquisition of the Tag Team Title straps, and setting matches for WCW's March pay-per-view. Life #9 Despite the odds, The Cat has returned as commissioner of WCW. Only a week removed from the position, The Cat informed WCW.com that he will "continue to take on Flair and his gang immediately." The commish will be signing a number of matches for Nitro, in an effort to strike back for his fallen friends - and insinuated that he would have a special announcement for Lance Storm. The Cat also told WCW.com that he would have a major announcement concerning the Cruiserweight division. PLUS: Jeff Jarrett, Mike Awesome, DDP, The Filthy Animals and much, much more... **The cut that DDP sustained when he was thrown into the steps at Superbrawl was not scheduled to happen. The severity of the injury is currently unknown. **Despite losing a "Loser Leaves" match at Superbrawl last night, Kevin Nash is not gone from WCW. His forced retirement is part of an angle. He will likely return to action when WCW re-launches this spring. **It looks like Christian York and Joey Matthews will make their WCW debut tonight on Nitro in a tag team match against Kidman and Rey Mysterio Jr. **There are rumors that tomorrow night on Nitro, another 'mock funeral' MAY take place for Kevin Nash, as a casket has apparently already been organised. **When WCW relaunches sometime in late April, the 'new owners' are expected to bring back guys like Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Sting and Booker T to feud with Ric Flair's stable when they come back on TV. **The current WCW Greed card for March 18 is: - WCW Tag Team Title Match: Sean O'Haire & Chuck Palumbo (c) vs. Totally Buff - WCW Cruiserweight Title Match: Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Shane Helms - Also, this is only from speculation alone, but it looks like it will probably be Scott Steiner vs. DDP in the main event for the WCW Heavyweight Title at Greed. (Cred: 1wrestling) __________________ [In other news...] **Nothing at this time (Cred: ) ______________________________________________________________________ [Article] Goldberg Talks WCW Superstar Goldberg joined Jason Barrett & Joseph "SA" Miller this past Saturday on WTBQ's "No Holds Barred" and below is a recap of the interview: What was the reason behind writing and publishing "I'm Next"? I'm Next was written because I wanted to work with my brother on a project, and because I wanted to clear the air about things that have been portrayed incorrectly. It's good to see a WCW talent finally have a book out in stores! The WWF is such a well oiled machine and they do a great job of pushing their personalities. It was time WCW had someone to promote also. You know it's getting crazy when even Chyna has a book out. What is your current situation and what timetable do you have set for your return? Currently I'm recovering from shoulder surgery and my career takes a backseat to my health. Once my arm is sound and I can use it the way I'm used to, then I'll look to get involved again. Right now though I have no set date. What are your feelings on Eric Bischoff taking over WCW? That depends. Do we get the Eric Bischoff who almost went insane last year? Or the Eric Bischoff who started the NWO & took WCW to the top? I'm very optimistic about things and anything is better than what we've been giving the fans lately. I can't take any credit for anything that's happened the past 2 years. How can WCW improve it's programming? Let's be realistic. I haven't been involved in the Title picture for a while and as prestigous as the belt is, I'm not saying it should be around my waist, but I should at least be in the mix. The fans have expressed that opinion and unless you have an unbelievable storyline, you have to give the fans what they want, or they won't watch. How did you feel about turning heel last year? Personally it made me sick. The only reason I did it was because my employers asked me to. The way it was planned and set up was real crappy. If anyone thinks still that I'm not a company guy after that, they can kiss my ass. Was the Hulk Hogan-Vince Russo conflict, a work or a shoot? Definetly a shoot. The lawsuit is a shoot. When that went down that night, I felt embarassed to be a part of WCW. The 2 biggest icons in wrestling are Hulk Hogan & Vince McMahon, and you don't treat a guy who's done so much for the business the way Vince Russo did. Is Vince Russo a hothead? Not only is he a hothead, but he thinks people pay money to see him. They don't give a damn about him. They don't care if he's involved in an angle with me or anyone else. He has no place in the ring and as far as his ideas, he doesn't have a place there either as far as I'm concerned. Who did you have your greatest feud with? I'd have to say it's probably with those pricks up in the WWF. Seriously though, I don't think my feuds have been written very well. The feud with me and The Giant could've been epic, but it wasn't. Steiner & I also could've been epic, and while it wasn't last time, eventually it will be. I also loved wrestling Sting, but unfortuantely the fans don't think he and I hate each other enough so that hasn't worked out too well. Did you have a problem working an angle with Chris Jericho? I don't mind working an angle with anyone as long as there is a good storyline behind it. The one that was written for me and Chris wasn't good enough and that is why that angle never worked out. If I don't believe in it, the fans sure as hell won't either. Do you have anything in store for Totally Buffed when you return? Oh yeah. Those 2 got over on me but I'll have my day somewhere down the line. Besides, as long as the world and the wrestling fans know that I can kick their ass anyday of the week, that's all that matters to me. What are your thoughts on your contract situation and the supposed loophole which allows you to leave WCW? First and foremost it's a business. Secondly, my contract states that I am an employee of WCW for another 2 years. If there is a loophole in there I know nothing about it and I have not explored work with the WWF or anyone else. I would like to be one of the major players to help spearhead WCW's resurgence and the only reason I would ever want to go to the WWF is to beat the crap out of a few guys who have big mouths. The wrestling business is better with 2 major companies and I'm looking forward to WCW's future. Have you heard anything about WCW shutting down? I've heard rumors but until something happens I don't believe any of it. What happened backstage between you & Scott Hall? I should've killed him but I didn't. Scott Hall is very unprofessional and he often breaks character and does things I don't agree with. I try to be professional and set a positive example but unfortunately he doesn't share the same views. Vince Russo couldn't control him and we had an issue, and instead of being unprofessional and making him pay, I took my frustrations out on that limousine. Will you be at Superbrawl? You never know.
