Not only were the numbers double NBC's expectations, but they were better than Monday Night Football among the young men that McMahon was hoping to draw. SO WHY AREN'T the suits on Wall Street impressed? Since last Friday - the day before the XFL's debut - WWF shares have slipped more than 10 percent on the New York Stock Exchange, even as the market as a whole has stayed steady. On Thursday, the stock closed up slightly at $17.72 " still down from the the $22.50 the WWF was trading at in the fall. WWF officials say the decline has nothing to do with the XFL; they blame opportunists who benefited from the run-up and who now are cashing out. "Many people may have bought the stock when it was significantly lower," says WWF spokesman Gary Davis. In the wake of the XFL premiere, sellers "are saying, `I've had a great run, the stock has gone up, and I'm happy I made a profit.' About a year ago, a similar storyline took place involving The Radicalz and the McMahon-Helmsley faction. **Billboard.com has an article about the upcoming release of the new WWF CD. Rapper Slick Rick accompanies The Rock on his track "Pie" and rock and roll legends Motorhead perform Triple H's new theme "The Game". The rest of the disc will consist of various wrestlers' theme music as well as some enhanced software for the internet and interaction with the Smackdown website. There will also be a special midnight sale of the CD at WWF New York. The show airs at 11:35 PM on NBC. Rock is in California to take part in Saturday's XFL game between the Chicago Enforcers and Los Angeles Xtreme. **Already signed for No Way Out is Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Triple H and the newly confirmed Kurt Angle vs. The Rock for the WWF Championship. **Also to be signed on Monday for No Way Out, will be the Dudley Boyz defending the WWF Tag Team Championships against the winner of the Edge and Christian vs. The Undertaker and Kane match on RAW. **Also on RAW as announced on Smackdown will be The Rock vs. Rikishi, where if The Rock wins Stone Triple H will be able to pick a stipulation for his match against Stone Cold at No Way Out, where if Rikishi wins, Stone Cold will be able to pick a stipulation. **There is either 2 ways The Rock vs. Rikishi match on RAW is expected to go, to allow either Triple H or Stone Cold Steve Austin to pick the stipulation for their No Way Out match. If Austin wins there is lots of talk that Shawn Michaels will be brought in as the special referee, but if Triple H gets to pick the stipulation he is expected to put the WWF Championship shot at WrestleMania on the line. However, "The Freak" will be taking some time off in March to attend the Arnold Classic Fitness and Bodybuilding convention. **Disqo has fully recovered from his back injury and recently received medical clearance from his doctors. **Goldberg had successful rotator cuff surgery last week. **Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr. have teamed up with rapper Mad One to form a group entitled "Filtered Souls". The trio recently recorded their debut album, which will be available in stores soon. **According to a source who works close to Ticketmaster, WCW Superbrawl Revenge tickets are surprisingly selling quite well, with most ringside and riser seats sold. It probably won't be a sellout unless it is papered. **Mean Gene gave his report today on The John Boy and Billy Radio Show, and here are the "highlights". Take it for what it's worth! - Goldberg should be returning "in a couple of weeks". - "Hulk Hogan is returning" rumors, (again). - ECW is "gone". - Shawn Michaels is returning with a lucrative long-term contract. - The sale of WCW should be finalized within a few weeks.
