Graziano was cast in the new national commercial for candy bar Twix. In the spot, Graziano plays a dancing member of a wacky cable access polka band. The production company designed and built a custom made tuxedo for Graziano to wear in the spot. The FBI member filmed his scenes this past week under top music video choreographer Tina Landon. Landon has choreographed for Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears among others, choreographing the American Music Awards just last week. Also appearing in the spot are thirteen year-old rapper Little Bow Wow and female pop music group Dream. Bow Wow, an ECW fan, was said to have popped huge upon recognizing Graziano. Graziano was shot on a set in Queens, New York as well as a green screen so special effects could be added later. The spot is currently being edited and will air as soon as the extensive special effects are completed. Graziano came to the attention of Twix through ECW ring announcer Stephen DeAngelis who in actuality is one of the top casting directors in New York. DeAngelis has a long history casting spots for products of parent company M & M Mars among the over 2000 commercials he has cast. The commercial was directed by noted music video director Dave Meyers, currently at work on the Dave Matthews Band's new video. (1wrestling) ______________________________________________________________________ [News from The WWF] **As just about everybody knows by now, William Regal (Darren Matthews) has been suffering from a sore neck for the last 5 to 6 weeks. He has a bulging disc between his C5 and C6 vertebrae, which has been causing him soreness down his right arm when he bumps. Regal had an MRI and was told by doctors to rest the injury for a couple of weeks at which point he will be able to work full time again. Although he is rehabbing the injury the WWF will keep him on TV and he will be at RAW this Monday. **On the next SmackDown! broadcast: - Undertaker against Rikishi. - Vince announces a major match signing for the No Way Out pay-per- view. - Bradshaw & Jeff Hardy vs. Faarooq & Matt Hardy. - Big Show against Chris Jericho. - Tazz vs. K-Kwik - Test against Christian. - Bob & Crash Holly vs. Goodfather & Bull Buchanan. - Angle takes on Kane. **The WWF has launched 3 brand new websites. (Cred: 1wrestling) __________________ [In other news...] **Apparently, Christopher Daniels is suffering from a pinched nerve stemming from landing on his head trying a quebrada on his match with Michael Modest that aired on Nitro. He's experiencing pain in his shoulder, arm and neck but will be working his scheduled shots this weekend in British Columbia and Washington. **The movie "Pretender 2001", which aired on Monday night on TNT in Nitro's regular spot did a strong 4.4 rating with a 6.2 share. Usually when TNT preempts Nitro for something else, the show does a lower rating than what Nitro does. That was not the case this time. **MTV Networks announced yesterday that they are laying off 125 employees. Most of the workers are TNN employees. Those who are being laid off are 35% of the TNN employees who currently work out of TNN's Nashville, TN headquarters. MTV is moving TNN's base of operations to New York City. The workers, who were assigned to TNN and the TNN section of their company website Country.com, will be laid off over the next six months. TNN's website will now be run out of New York. Viacom Inc., the parent company of MTV Networks, took control of TNN in a merger last year with CBS Cable, which owned TNN when it was known as "The Nashville Network". After signing WWF programming away from USA, TNN changed it's name to "The National Network" and redefined the focus of TNN. To help redefine TNN, operations are being moved to New York so that they can use MTV's vast resources. (Cred: ultimo, 1wrestling) ______________________________________________________________________ [Article] Wrestling Doctor Charged Dr. Joel Hackett of Indianapolis, a physician with strong ties to the pro wrestling community, was charged today with 48 different counts- 24 counts of making false statements and prescriptions and another 24 counts of controlled substances fraud and deceit. Hackett has been linked to deaths of three pro wrestlers. He was friends with Brian Pillman and there were large amounts of drugs prescribed by Hackett in the bedroom of Louis Mucciolo (Louie Spicolli) when he passed away. It is unclear who the third wrestler that passed away linked to Hackett is, but he had close ties with numerous WWF wrestlers including prescribing steroids to wrestlers even though doing such has been illegal since 1989. The WWF banned Hackett from their dressing rooms in 1997 after the death of Pillman and warned talent to avoid contact with him, although many continued to go to him. If convicted, Hackett could lose his medical license and face up to three years in prison and could be fined a maximum of $480,000. (Reuters) ______________________________________________________________________ **[Article] Wrestling court case draws to an end Closing arguments were made Wednesday in the first-degree murder case of Lionel Tate, a 13-year-old boy from Florida who is accused of accidentally killing a 6-year-old girl while performing moves he had seen on TV while watching pro wrestling. Tate was tried as an adult in the murder case, stemming from an incident where Tiffany Eunick sustained blunt trauma injuries while playing together at Tate's home in Miramar, Florida. Prosecuting attorney Ken Padowitz made an impassioned plea in his summation, saying "Tiffany Eunick ... was beaten to death by Lionel Tate. " "He knew he was hurting her, that every punch, blow, stomp and kick on her little body hurt, but he kept going. When she was found and given CPR she was already cold, already dead," Padowitz said. Tate's attorney argued that Tate imitated the moves he saw on televised wrestling programs but did not understand the potential danger of serious injury. "Lionel Tate is not socially or emotionally mature enough to reflect on the consequences of his actions," said Lewis. "He will not walk a free man regardless of your verdict," adding that this case will always hang over Tate's head and that he is in need of counseling. Padowitz tried to convince the jury to convict Tate of first degree murder and felony child abuse. If the jury convicts Tate of first- degree murder, he could face a maximum penalty of life in prison. Another possible verdict would be for the jury to convict Tate of murder in the second degree or of manslaughter. (Reuters) ______________________________________________________________________ [Column] Vile Thoughts - by The Vile The WWF had an extremely solid show with this past Sunday's Royal Rumble. All the matches were pretty enjoyable. There were a few things I didn't like, but I'll get to those a little later. Here are some observations I made along the way.... To Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho. Thanks for another 5 star matchup. You guys have had some great matches in the past, but this one was awesome. Great moves, and some unbelieveable bumps. You guys were doing things to each other that people don't do to farm animals. This match easily rivaled, dare I say it Shawn Michaels and Razon "Rum"on. The WWF title match was interesting as Kurt Angle was kind of the face in this one. How about that moonsault? And how about Triple H's relentless assault on Angle's leg, and his subsequent attack on Stone Cold during the Rumble. They are really trying to kick up the heel heat for HHH. And with SCSA winning the Rumble, I would say the odds of HHH copping the title before Wrestlemania come in at oh, say 100%. Memo to Steph and Trish: Ladies, there's just not enough hair whipping around. The ladies match was a study in tastelessness. While it was entertaining to see Ivory get beaten like the Janet Reno lookalike that she is, the ending was totally inappropriate. It's been a little over a year since Droz was hurt, and don't forget Stone Cold just a few years ago. You guys took the cheap way out having Chyna fake paralysis. As for the Rumble itself, it was pretty decent. Kane did a nice job hanging in for over an hour, but why did they have to have him and the Biker avoid wrestling each other? They did everything but tounge each other in the ring. They had it right with the Hardys: doubleteam guys, and when all that's left is the two of you, go at it. Drew Carey: One question: WHY????!!!! The Honky Tonk Man: See above question. Haku: Wasn't that guy just on Nitro last week defending a belt? Shades of Lex Luger. And lastly, and leastly, the Rumble marked the return of the Big Blow. What a waste this guy is. Oh yeah, you looked impressive, right up to the part in the script where you get humiliated by The Rock. AGAIN. Maybe if you weren't such a waste of potential, the WWF might actually let you win something. Face it; you're best days are long gone. So why don't you just light up another cancer stick and go away forever you big loser. VILE'S TOTALLY ANAL TRIVIA: No one coorectly identifed the group known as Thug Life.
