After Steiner had run out and attacked both Mike Modest and Chris Daniels during their match, the EMTs came in to stretcher them out. Steiner thought that one of the EMTs was actually another wrestler playing the part, so he attacked him to get the angle over. It turned out that it was a real EMT, Randall Mankins, who did not know that he would become part of the angle and be attacked by Steiner. Mankins was kicked twice by Steiner, who was served with a criminal assault complaint as he was leaving Greensboro, NC, to return home. Apparently, this incident was not Steiner going into business for himself or attacking out of rage, but just a lack of communication between Steiner and the rest of the crew. ______________________________________________________________________ [News from The WWF] **RAW is WAR's rating rose this week by 0.4 due to no Nitro being shown. In the midst of talking about his stripper girlfriend, and other events taking place in his life, he went over the Royal Rumble pay-per-view this past Sunday. He spoke of how the crowd went wild when he made his way to the ring and how he got in the ring and the Hardys immediately eliminated each other. From there, Kane came out attempting to give him a chokeslam, but Raven made the save, and Carey quickly jumped out. Some guy called in and asked why Carey didn't take any bumps, and he replied by saying he wasn't trained and that the wrestlers do get hurt, even though it's choreographed. He said it was a pretty brutal evening. Carey stated the backstage had all kinds of people bleeding (Austin), and a referee had an icepack on his elbow. Drew was basically on the show to plug his Improv All-Stars pay-per-view show on Saturday night. (AP) - Spalding is hoping for a Super Bowl bounce for its XFL ball. The sporting goods company is paying for an airplane to pull a banner advertising its football for the new league near Raymond James Stadium during Sunday's NFL title game. ``We want to build the awareness of our football with football fans,'' Chris Waldeck, Spalding's category manager for the sport, said Tuesday. ``Our intention is to talk to football fans, and they're a captive audience there, so it's a good opportunity.'' The banner, which will be visible from inside the stadium, has the logos of Spalding and the XFL, a picture of the red-and-black ball, and the slogan ``Toughest Football Ever.'' ``We have no control over what companies have a banner above the Super Bowl. Secondly, we do not comment on the affairs of other business organizations,'' said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy. ______________________________________________________________________ [Parting Chair Shot] Remember, tell your friends about nWN - naidO's Wrestling News today! **Missed any TV Shows?
