If Michaels appears tonight, it should be no surprise if it happens although not as an in-ring participant. At this point it's not a question of if, just when, and probably soon. Shawn will most likely make be an in-ring participant at this years Wrestlemania X-Seven being held in Houston, Texas. Those expecting Ken Shamrock to be the "mystery participant" in this year Royal Rumble should that know Shamrock is under contract to Dream Stage Entertainment through the end of this year. It is possible the WWF could have reached an agreement with Dream Stage, but nothing has been heard of about any discussions between the two sides. Aside from acting, Vampiro's plan at this time is to get healthy enough to go back on tour with his friends, the Insane Clown Posse, when they begin touring with Limp Bizkit later on this year. It should be noted that despite WCW's removing of Vampiro's profile from their website, he has still not been officially let go by the company at this time. **Goldberg was in attendance at the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona this past week. Goldberg purchased a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 for a final price of $60,000. **Glacier could be returning to WCW this coming Monday on Nitro. (Cred: 1wrestling) ______________________________________________________________________ [Article] Tentative WCW Re-Launch Plans Regarding the rumored shutdown and relaunch of WCW, nothing is definite at this point. We've been told there is an 80 percent chance that they will shoot some major angles on the 2/18 PPV show, probably run Nitro the next night, take two or three weeks off from both Nitro and Thunder and start up again. The way the schedule looks, one would suspect a two week shutdown because the PPV date is set for 3/18 in Jacksonville, and one would think the company would want to have Nitro back in place by 3/12 to give them one week to promote the show. There has also been talk of the shutdown starting directly after the 2/18 PPV, which means there would be no Nitro on 2/19, currently on the books in Huntsville, AL. The company would undertake a major advertising campaign over the last week to hype coming back for Nitro and Thunder. The plan is for both TBS and TNT to run non-wrestling programming in the wrestling time slots as opposed to taped shows. The first relaunch is at this point being considered a "soft relaunch" in that the show would not have a totally different look when it returns. The projection is for the shows to have a totally new look, with a new set, new graphics package, new production and perhaps new announcers but that wouldn't take place until perhaps late March or early April. To clarify things written here and elsewhere regarding Bischoff and credit or blame for recent booking. While Bischoff publicly is talking about letting the current committee tell the stories they've started, he has had input in changing the direction through one member of the writing team (I'm presuming Johnny Ace but could be wrong on that) for the past three weeks. The change in emphasis on the cruiserweight division this past week was largely from Bischoff as was the direction change for Ric Flair and Lex Luger with the breakdown of the two major players on each side as introduced on Nitro.
