Heyman claims that the announcement is talent related but he wants to keep it a surprise until the show. He did say it was not Chris Jericho, who will be in New York on Sunday to particpate in a charity hockey game at Madison Square Garden and was rumoured to be the surprise talent for the show. (1wrestling) ______________________________________________________________________ [News from The WWF] **The WWF has changed the location of its February NO WAY OUT pay per view from Orlando, Florida to Las Vegas, Nevada. No word on why the location has been moved. **'If They Only Knew', the autobiography of Chyna, real name Joanie Lauer, is now available on WWF Shopzone. The book will be released in stores on 1/30. **Five new participants have been named to compete in this year's Royal Rumble in addition to the Undertaker and Kane. They are: The Rock, Rikishi, Faarooq, Bradshaw, and Steve Blackman. **Here are news and notes from teh latest Ross Report: - There are still some Royal Rumble tickets available for the New Orleans PPV. - Dean Malenko had his knee scoped on Thursday in Tampa, FL, and should be back to 100% in 4 weeks time. - Triple H's back problems are improving and his return to action should be prior to the Rumble. - Eddie Guerrero is still on the injured list with a sore back and pulled hamstring. His return for the Rumble is questionable. - Lita's back condition is not as serious as originally thought and she will be back in the ring next week. - Several WWF superstars traveled to Los Angeles earlier this week to be a part of UPN's press day. - The WWF is really gearing up for Chyna's book release later this month with the most extensive promotional effort ever for a WWF author. - Billy Gunn's in-ring performances have been improving due to improved conditioning, less body weight and increased concentration. - X-Pac looks to be on target to return to the Rumble, if not before, and should be poised for one of the best years of his career. - The door seems to be open for Shawn Michaels to wrestle a very limited schedule in 2001, with his back permitting. - The Haas Brothers down in Memphis have a great future ahead of them in the WWF. - Tori is in Southern California taping an episode of TNN's "18 Wheels for Justice." Her return to WWF TV has not been finalized. - The Big Show weighed in Friday at 416 pounds, down 64 pounds from his original weight of 480. - WWF superstars have been invited to attend presidential inauguration festivities in Washington, D.C. on January 19. - Shane McMahon may return as early as the Royal Rumble, but that is not certain at this time. - Edge will begin wearing a hard elbow pad to protect his banged elbow, which he had fluid removed from it last week. - Al Snow's injured wrists are much better and he can return to work at any time. - Kurt Angle has a joint strain in his shoulder but he expects to work through it. **Aaron Aguilera, who occasionally made appearances on WWF TV a few months ago as one of Los Conquistadors, is scheduled to compete at this Tuesday's Smackdown taping in California. His opponent will be UPW superstar Prototype. Sanders will face the opponent at Sin and his Commissioner's job will be up for grabs. - Scott Steiner will defend his World title against Jeff Jarrett. - Chavo Guerrero will defend his Cruiserweight title against Shannon Moore. - Lance Storm vs Billy Kidman. - Also on hand: Goldberg, DDP & Kevin Nash, Lex Luger & Buff Bagwell, Kronik, and more. **Here is the DirecTV preview: - WCW superstars go to war, in and out of the ring, for pro wrestling supremacy. **Friday on the Bubba the Love Sponge radio show, Bubba claimed that Mandalay Sports bought out WCW yesterday and that Mandalay was a front for the real buyer, Coca-Cola. He also added that Hulk Hogan has signed on with the new management to stay with WCW at 3+ million dollars a year as both a wrestler and booker. **As of Friday, just over 3000 Sin tickets have been sold. The next PPV will be "Living Dangerously", in March. **After rumors claiming that ECW has signed a TV deal with FX began to circulate, a spokesperson for the network announced that there are currently no plans of adding a wrestling program to their schedule.
