Rumors are Road Dogg is taking time off to deal with some personal issues. The "suspension" may just be a way to explain his exclusion from TV. Wade Keller reports Road Dogg is likely headed to drug rehabilitation soon. Apparently, James was on a flight two weeks ago and showed symptoms of a health problem. Police met the plane after it landed and were prepared to take him off the plane. No charges were filed in the incident. James has had a history of drug problems. (WWF.com and Wade Keller) ______________________________________________________________________ [News from the WWF] **At last night's UPW show, The Hardy Boyz were scheduled to fight the Ballard Brothers for the UPW Tag Team Titles, but Lita and an unknown woman joined the fray to make it a 6-person match. The Hardyz and Lita ended up winning the match, and at this time it is unknown if they will be acknowledged as the tag team champs. **Chris Jericho is scheduled for SuperSkate 2001 at Madison Square Garden. To read more on the appearance, click http://www.wwf.com/news/headlines/1024174 **Official WWF Smackdown Preview: Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley revealed their sick plot to gain control of the World Wrestling Federation on Monday's RAW. As a result, Commissioner Mick Foley was fired, and Mr. McMahon is back in the driver's seat. Vince and Stephanie will be on SmackDown! this Thursday, perhaps to address their coup d'etat! The main event on SmackDown! has already been signed, and it is huge. The new World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions -- The Rock and the Undertaker -- will defend against former champions Edge & Christian! Will Edge & Christian become five-time champions? Or will Rock & Taker continue their reign? Several other matches have already been signed for Thursday's SmackDown! on UPN. The Dudley Boyz will take on Lo Down in tag-team action, while Y2J and the Hardy Boyz face off with Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn of the Radicalz. Also, William Regal will defend his European Championship against Hardcore Holly, and Kaientai face off with Crash and Molly Holly. Plus, Stone Cold Steve Austin will be in the house this Thursday! SmackDown! airs Thursday at 8/7 CT on UPN! **Mideon's new character has his hair completely blonde, wearing a flannel shirt to the ring and entering the ring to Dusty Rhodes' old theme, "Workin' Man". (Cred: The Law, Ultimo) _______________ [News from WCW] **DDP's chat at Yahoo! last night was cancelled for an unspecified reason. A personal appearance with Kimberly in Atlanta yesterday was cancelled also for an unknown reason. It is quite interesting that DDP left the Nitro/Thunder tapings on Monday night, and now has cancelled public appearances organised by WCW. We'll update you on the situation as it develops. **Sid will probably be back as soon as this Friday night's TV taping in Memphis, TN. The original plan for Sin was to have Sid vs. Steiner vs. Jarrett vs. mystery opponent, so it will be interesting to see if Sid gets put into the main event. **Many have been saying that the mystery opponent has to be Rick Steiner, because the promos for Sin have "Brother vs. Brother". It may be a swerve for Scott vs. Rick, because I can confirm another match added to the Sin card, and that is Big Vito vs. Reno, who are also brothers (in a storyline sense). **It looks like Meng will be thrown into the Hardcore Title Match at Sin to make it a 3-Way Dance, which also includes Terry Funk and Crowbar. **Although many have poked fun at the Jimmy Hart-DJ challenges on WCW, the truth is that when the local DJ's promote the upcoming shows, attendance has actually been boosted due to that fact in particular cities. **WCW is still deciding on when to debut the new Nitro and Thunder set. One feature of the new set is that wrestlers won't come out from the side of the stage, but that they will come out from the middle of the stage, and the jumbo screen will be raised to make room for the new entrance. **Vampiro is still interested in coming back to work for WCW, once his concussion is fully healed. He has not been fired by WCW over his recent criticism of the company, and if he were to return it would probably be in a few months time. **Chris Kanyon is expected to return early on in the New Year, depending on creative ideas. **The earliest Sting could return from an elbow injury is 3 months, although it depends on how he heals after surgery which he will be undergoing soon. **Many WCW workers are upset about the restraints put over them when asking to appear on independent shows. The WCW office has now made a rule that states no WCW wrestler is allowed to appear on an independent show, incase injuries are sustained. However, many are complaining over the inconsistency that Terry Funk who is a non- contracted wrestler can appear wherever he likes, and he is even the Hardcore champion. Bagwell must pay $500 in fines and court charges as well as do 20 hours of community service at children's hospitals.
