He was arrested in conjunction with kicking a cab car a couple weeks ago. He posted bail but a judge ordered he stay in jail since he had been arrested twice already in the past month. (The Law) ______________________________________________________________________ [News from the WWF] **Word is that WWF superstars can't run their own Web sites any longer unless they have owned and operated them before coming to the federation. **Official RAW preview: Vince and Linda McMahon have been undergoing divorce proceedings for weeks. Last week on SmackDown!, Vince publicly embarrassed his wife, reducing his daughter to tears in the process. Also last week, a sick and weakened Linda was ushered to a local hospital after taking a turn for the worst. And with all this going on, Vince simply smiled an evil grin. With just a week left until the holidays, the McMahon family is in a state of disarray. Tonight on RAW, at 9/8 CT on TNN, we will hopefully get an update on Linda McMahon's condition. We will also hopefully hear from Vince McMahon about the turmoil in his family with Christmas just a week away. Much of Mr. McMahon's stress has been caused by Commissioner Mick Foley. Now that we know that Foley is in for the long haul, what can we expect from the commish tonight from Greenville, S.C.? Find out at 9/8 CT on TNN! Anything can happen on RAW, tonight at 9/8 CT on TNN! **Celebrate Stone Cold's and Trish's birthdays today! Both Stone Cold Steve Austin and Trish Stratus celebrate birthdays today. Awesome is expected to receive a big push in the upcoming months. **The Scott Hall remark that Kevin Nash said at the end of the Insiders match was not scripted, and Nash and DDP have been told not to make reference to Hall anymore. **Dustin Rhodes was infact scheduled to appear at the PPV last night. It is unknown why he did not appear, but WCW probably changed their plans for him. He was scheduled for Nitro and Thunder, but he won't be appearing on TV this week either. **WCW will begin to heavily hype Sin on tomorrow night's edition of Nitro. With the next few weeks of WCW TV either being pre-recorded or only being shown overseas, WCW needs to start hyping the PPV already. **From dave Scherer: Dustin Rhodes was at Starrcade briefly yesterday afternoon to meet with the WCW creative team to talk about possible storylines for him in the company. From what I was told, be did not stay for the whole show. There was never any intention for Dustin Rhodes to be on Starrcade. He was never booked to be on Starrcade, and was never intended to be a surprise on Starrcade. As far as I know, he won't be at the TV taping tonight. **Official Nitro preview: Due to the lack of shows over the holidays, the office of CEO Ric Flair has released the following statement: "On Jan. 14, 2001, WCW will introduce a new pay-per-view, WCW Sin. In order to prepare for this momentous and unique event, CEO Ric Flair will book matches immediately, and dole out punishment for injustices that took place at Starrcade 2000. "After successfully defending his world title, Scott Steiner will be informed of the challenge that faces him at WCW Sin -- a match that will test Steiner more than any contest to date. "Buff Bagwell will face Goldberg in singles competition, due to Bagwell's interference in Goldberg's Starrcade match against Lex Luger. Under no circumstances will such behavior be tolerated by the CEO." Cruiserweight Tune Up 3 Count members Shane Helms and Shannon Moore showed their solidarity by sharing victory in their Triple Threat Ladder Match. The boy band's solidarity, however, will be tested at Monday Nitro. Last night on WCW Live!, Jeremy Borash and Bob Ryder reported WCW officials have already decided Shane and Shannon will face off in singles competition, to determine who will face Chavo Guerrero Jr. for the cruiserweight title. Can They Keep The Gold? Less than 24 hours after becoming champions, both Terry Funk and The InSiders will risk their gold against solid competition. The Hardcore Legend will face the unstoppable Meng in a match signed due to Funk's attack on the Tongan warrior last week. Coming off their Starrcade victory, former tag champions The Harris Brothers will try their luck against Kevin Nash and DDP. The InSiders will need to focus on Ron and Don, but, according to [wcw.com's] sources, Above Average Mike Sanders might have a major surprise for the champions. (Cred: wcw.com) _______________ [News from ECW] **HEYMAN COMMENTS ON NET DUDLEY RUMORS: I was just talking with Paul Heyman about the Friday Queens show today when the topic of internet reports that there was "heat on Buh Buh Dudley" came up. Heyman told me, "How can there be heat on Buh Buh for stealing the show when I built the show around their return? We didn't push anything else! The show was a Dudleys reunion....that's what we asked people for their money for.....that's what we asked them to spend their money ON!" From where I sit, I can't see how there is any heat on Buh Buh either. All the guy did was work for free and help organize the show to help ECW raise some revenue. If that makes him a heel, them some people's views are really skewed from where I sit. Bass has been hospitalized for several weeks suffering from pancreatitis. If you would like to donate and help out Nicole in her time of need, check out GETWELLNICOLE.COM. (Cred: The Law) ______________________________________________________________________ [Article] Updates on Big Show & Mark Henry "I'm better than that" by Phil Speer The Big Show and Mark Henry are quite different in certain aspects. For example, since being assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in Louisville, Ky., Big Show has shaved his head; Henry's hair is longer, and he sometimes comes to the ring wearing braids. They both have well-thought-out reasons for their hairstyle changes. "I got the idea from the movie 'Major Payne,'" Big Show said. "He shaved the kids heads. He said the kids have to earn their 'do ... their hairdo. I took a comedic scene from a movie and applied it to myself in a very serious manner. Before I let my hair grow back I need to make some positive changes." And then there's Mark Henry's decision to let his hair grow longer and braid it. "Women find it attractive," said the Silsby, Texas, native. "It's different than anybody in the wrestling industry. It's more of an exotic look. Mark Henry has also been a big strong guy. Lots of personality but nothing ever signified it." Beyond specific differences like hairstyle preference, Big Show and Mark Henry have a great deal in common. Sure, there's the obvious stuff. World Wrestling Federation officials sent both to OVW to improve their physical conditioning and in-ring skills. OVW is a training camp for men and women that the Federation thinks can one day become WWF Superstars. The focus is on training and practice.
