(The Law) ______________________________________________________________________ [News from the WWF] **Monday's unopposed RAW Is WAR program drew a 5.8 rating with an 8.5 share (quarter hours of 5.2, 5.8, 5.8, 6.1, 6.1, 5.6, 5.5, 5.9 & 6.1). **WWF.com has posted an interview they conducted this past weekend with Shawn Michaels. The former WWF World Champion looks back on his career, the present day WWF, and the possibility of him ever returning to the ring. **According to The Register, the WWF's website is being run on a NT server that provides a listing of all their customers and their information, accidentally. Credit Card information is protected, but order information is not. (Cred: 1Wrestling) _______________ [News from WCW] **Here is what to expect on tonight's edition of WCW Thunder: -In three way action, Jame Knobe & Evan Karagias will take on the Jung Dragons & Three Count. -Lance Storm will be forced to sing the American National Anthem as result of his Nitro stipulation. -Chavo Guerrero and a mystery partner will take on Perfect Event. -The Cat vs Jim Duggan. -Big Vito & Reno vs Kronik. -Mike Sanders vs Dallas Page. -Scott Steiner will defend his World Title against Meng. Also on the program: Sid Vicious, Lex Luger, Goldberg and more. **The second part of "David Copperfield," a TNT mini-series that ran in place of Monday Nitro, scored a 1.8 rating lagging behind the 2.5 rating Nitro scored the previous week. This may be a sign that WCW television is more valuable to TNT than previously thought. **A group of wrestling fans have set up a website in hopes of convincing Marvel Comics and 20th Century Fox to cast Corporal Cajun in the next X-Men movie. A cat scan revealed that Bass has numerous cysts in her pancreas that are causing the infection. Doctors are still stumped and are not sure how to proceed at this time. Bass herself is still in pain and feeling weak because she has lost a lot of weight. (Cred: website already credited) ______________________________________________________________________ [Article] Wrestler Wins Canadian Top Athlete Honours Canadian Gold Medal wrestler Daniel Igali (26) won the Lou Marsh Trophy (Canada's outstanding athlete). He was the first Canadian to ever win a world title in 1999 and then backed it up with Gold in Sydney. He was born in Nigeria and came to Canada in 1994 during the Commonwealth Games where he was competing for Nigeria. In 1992 he made the Olympic squad for Nigeria but was told he couldn't go to compete which was the motivation for leaving his home country. Also in the list of contenders this year was golfers Lori Kane, Mike Weir, Olympic Triathlete Simon Whitfield and hockey players Scott Stevens (captain of Stanley Cup champs New Jersey Devils) and Chris Pronger (NHL's top defenseman last year). Lou Marsh was the sports editor for the Toronto Star. The award has been given out since 1936. (The Law) ______________________________________________________________________ [Ratings] **Livewire did a 0.9 rating with a 2.6 share, down from last week's 1.0, and also down from the fourth quarter 1.1 the show has done. The show did quarters of 0.6, 0.9, 1.1 and 1.1. **Superstars did a 0.8 rating, down from last week's 1.0, and also down from the fourth quarter 1.1 the show has done. The show did quarters of 0.6, 0.8, 0.9 and 0.9. **Heat did a 1.8 rating (with a 2.8 share), down from last week's 2.2 (which featured the Rock) and down from the fourth quarter average of 2.1. The show was hurt at least in some part by the fact that it aired on the West Coast opposite the PPV. The show did quarter hours of 1.7, 1.8, 1.8, 2.1. **The 12/8 edition of Smackdown did a 5.0 broadcast rating with a 7.8 share, up from last week's 4.4 broadcast rating. **The 12/7 edition of Thunder did a 2.3 rating with a 3.5 share, down from last week's 2.4.
