(The Law) ______________________________________________________________________ [News from the WWF] **Last Thursday's Smackdown drew a 4.4 broadcast rating with a 6.7 share. **Aaron Dias of 4W-Wrestling.com sent along interesting tid-bits centred around the newly released WWF January 2001 Magazine and its "Informer" section. - It seems as if the Austin/Rock main event at Wrestlemania X-7 will go on as originaly planned, according to "The Informer". Apparently, one of the two will get some help from an unlikely female superstar.... Remember, this same magazine hinted that Trish would be valet to a WWF Champion in the near future...could it be her? - "The Informer" touches base on the Triple H/Stephanie marriage, and claims that they will be divorcing very soon. Apparently, the split will be over someone who hasn't even entered the WWF as of yet. From there, it is said that will be guaranteed a title shot in 2K1 and Stephanie will be involved in that situation somehow as well. Stephanie a valet to Regal? - Mick Foley will be forced to wrestle to keep his WWF Commissioner job. If he refuses, says "The Informer", Shawn Michaels will be given his old job back. - "Four legends who you never thought you'd see again will return to the World Wrestling Federation...sooner than you think." Hogan? Nash? Hall? Savage? Warrior? - The Dudley Boyz will have their parents revealed, along with a brother. - Two WWF "Divas" will challenge for the WWF Tag Team Titles in a "Evening Gown/Tuxedo Match". - As reported roughly a month ago, Tazz will have a valet at his side. There has been more added to it, however. Apparently, this will happen makes a bet that he cannot win. The rumored woman to join Tazz's side will be Jacqueline. - Like Kane years ago, Steven Richards will be committed to an mental institution. - Keep in mind, "The Informer" has spread the word of these happenings prior to 2001. Several things can and will change, making some of these above news/rumor items rumors that may never happen. **Multichannel News reported yesterday that pay-per-view revenues have gone backward in 2000, largely due to boxing events drawing less buys than they did last year. Revenue from "events" (boxing and wrestling) is down $91 million from last year. Boxing is down $103 million. Wrestling, however, is up, having drawn $262 million so far this year, up $15 million from last year. The WWF had 12 of the top 20 grossing events of the year (which makes sense since they only ran 12). Multichannel wrote, "The top five wrestling events of the year (all WWF) generated $102.2 million in revenue, edging out the $102.1 million generated by the top five boxing events." **The WWF has announced that they will give free tickets to this weekend's PPV to season ticketholders of the Birmingham XFL team. That is interesting, since it means tickets are available for the show this weekend. **The Rebellion PPV in Sheffield, England last Saturday drew 11,077 paid for $536,866 in U.S. dollars (378,075 English pounds). (Cred: SLAM! Wrestling) _______________ [News from WCW] **WCW wrestler Vampiro and his manager Bob Barnett have split up. Appparently Vamp was upset with some of the comments Barnett made on the internet over the last few weeks regarding his career and relationship with WCW. It appears that Vampiro is now trying to maintain a relationship with World Championship Wrestling and stay under contract while he gets over his concussion and playing bass on tour with Insane Clown Posse. Vampiro has since apologized to the people he offended in WCW recently in interviews in order to keep his contract. (Cred: The Law) _______________ [News from ECW] **Jason Powell reports several items were stolen from ECW's locker room during the Massacre on 34th Street pay-per-view. After the show, Dawn Marie reported she was missing a diamond necklace. Justin Credible reported he was missing several hundred dollars. Paul Heyman addressed the stolen items in a post-show speech to workers. It is believed that no one inside the company is responsible. An unusual amount of backstage visitors are believed to be the cause. It is not known if the alleged thefts were reported to the proper authorities. **Little Spike Dudley was legitimately vomiting during his pay-per- view match with Rhino last night after receiving a very stiff choke hold. **Joel Gertner is trying to lose a huge amount of weight. He is on a diet and has already lost 40 pounds. **Nova busted his left ear drum during his match at the Massacre On 34th Street pay-per-view. **ECW and Scotty Anton have mutually agreed to part ways. **Following an amazing table spot at the Massacre On 34th Street pay- per-view, Mikey Whipwreck is feeling pain in his back and plans on visiting his doctor in the near future to determine the severity of his injury.
