4th JUNE'99: We started our journey at 7 am in the morning, left the Madhuban Guest House by a txi to mini bus stand, Nepal city was just waking up, tea stalls were boiling their water for tea, waiting few minutes to have a cup but couldn't wait that long. The bus left at around 8:30 am, very uncomfortable seating arrangements but too late to change.
The exciting journey passing thru up and down hilly roads, on way to Pokhara we had our first break at a service area named Blue Heaven restaurant for 15 minutes and second break at Gateway restaurant. After six hours of journey, we reached at Pokhara bus stand (a wide open field) at 2:30 pm where representatives from all hotels were waiting hungry to get us, we found our people as we had confirmed boarding in Hotel Hong Kong. The first thing we did was order Nepalese dishes (rice, vege, dal, chicken), the meal was delicious probably because we were so hungry.
In the evening we rented a taxi for Sangarkote (a high hill to have a look at Annapurna range), that trip was really great, the scene we enjoyed looking at the Annapurna range was breath taking, the interesting part was two young guides named Rajkumar and Krishna, accompanied us that evening, we returned to the base before real dark, on way to hotel visited Devy's Fall, a great attraction too.
When we came back to hotel, we found ourselves in load shedding, management supplied us with a candle and match which seemed a common practice, later we had another courses of tasty meal. Next morning at 7 o'clock we left Pokhara for Kathmandu by bus.
