			Hungary!

January 8, 2005, Saturday, 12:04 A.M. I�m so tired but I want to write something before I go to bed so I don�t forget everything. We were up at 6:00 A.M. today to catch our flight to Budapest. Everything went smoothly and we arrived here around 11:30. The best way to sum up how we were all feeling today is to tell you that not once, but twice, David said �I�m so excited to be here.� Anyone who knows David will agree that it is not easy for him to be that excited about anything! I can�t think of a better way to describe Budapest than simply, unbelievably cool. I can�t wait to wake up early tomorrow to go to the Turkish Baths and get a massage�have breakfast and then go shopping. We went to the huge market today where they sell all sorts of handmade and original items. I just looked though because I want to scope out all of the shopping before buying anything. I�ve got my eye on an antique ring & necklace though for two friends who shall remain nameless!! As soon as we got here David, Francoise & Jacques had a bit of whiskey in the room, then we went to lunch. I had mais cream soup with dumplings and a goat cheese salad. Oh my God was it GOOD! We also had cocktails and Irish coffee. We were feeling pretty good at that point. David and I then walked around the city a bit and ended up at a few bars while Francoise and Jacques went to the Baths. By the time we returned we were feeling pretty good. We sat in their room for a while and drank a little more. After our showers we were supposed to go to dinner and then out to a �disco.� They fell asleep though and by the time he & I finished dinner�we were practically asleep ourselves. So here we are, he�s passed out and I just had to write this and get rid of the photos on my camera to make room for more tomorrow. There is no internet access in the room so I�ll try to upload this tomorrow. I�m so excited to see what tomorrow will bring. Life is GOOD. P.S. The food is RIDICULOUS here. I had chicken paprikash tonight but it�s still not as good as my mom�s!
