Mini's - September 2003
These poems are what I call minis because they're only like 5 lines long and they're not connected. I'll just group them by when they were written. These were all written during classes in August & September.
You weren't anything what I thought you'd be Yet there is no one else more perfect for me Since I've met you my whole world has changed All my priorities are now arranged And you're at the top of that list _______________________________________________________________________ That must not have been the right shooting star Cuz I have yet to get what I'm wishin for You're still just out of my arm's reach And I think about you when I should be listin to the teach But I'll keep wishin on every star till the sky goes dark _______________________________________________________________________ The important question that I have to ask now Is so important that I can't figure out how To ask you if you feel the same as me If the lock of your heart is opened with my key This question I ponder every night before I fall asleep ______________________________________________________________________ Paitence is the one virtue that I lack Those words I said I wish I could take back Cuz they weren't the ones I wanted to come out My impulses took over and now I left to pout About the girl who left before she really came
