In the beginning was a voice

Once upon a time, a girl begged her family for a Playstation (TM). She received one, and some time later, upon being beaten by a boss in a certain game (which was NOT the game we're talking about), she picked up a game magazine. She opened to a random page and beheld an extremely pretty ad, involving a man and a woman with strange hair and clothing. It was not in color.

She loved it.

"Ooh!" She said, "Elves or something who are secret agents! Neat!"

She soon forgot about it.

A year or so passed. She had tangled herself up in Threads of Fate. She had beaten Xena. She had enjoyed Final Fantasy Eight and lost the first disk of Final Fantasy Nine. She was bored. Passing through a game store, she spied Vagrant Story, that game from the magazine with the weird-haired secret agents. "Hey!" she cried, "It's that game from the magazine! And it's used! On Sale! GAAAAAME!" She purchased the game, with no real expectations.

She fell in love all over again.

Ashley Riot. Callo Merlose. Sydney Losstarot. Swords, interesting pants, buttshots, babies and even more.

She met Duane, whom she battled with glee ("STUPID WEIRD PRIEST CALLING ME A BUTCHER! DIIIIIE!"), she met Guildenstern (whom she decided had presence, but thought a bit off). She met Rosencrantz. It was not a pretty meeting: "ORANGE. BARBEDWIRE. WHO THE HELL?"

"I am Jan Rosencrantz."

She blinked: "Roseypants?Oh. Rosencrantz."

She has reconciled the attack of orange. She vaguely understands the barbed wire. But she still wonders: Who the hell?
