The Official Fanfiction University of Ronin Warriors

Chapter One

1

Ailsa Amaya sipped the Dr. Pepper, ignoring the numbers on the clock (2:15, without the PM sign showing). Her long black hair was messy, but she ignored the horrible feeling of dirtiness, in favor of typing the last chapter of The Tenth Armor.

Her fingers ached as she spun her finale to her magnificent tale. Well, she thought that it was magnificent, she had influenced her main character, so of course it was. A yawn filled the air just as she wrote on how passionately Sage and Isi kissed and embraced.

"You are not authorized," said a small man in a suit. "Please cease at once!"

She ignored him and continued writing.

"Ma'am, please stop." He warned her again, only to have silence greet him. He nodded to a few white coated companions, who stepped outside. "This is my final warning," he said just as the power cut out.

The blackness that enveloped her caused her to panic, thus her hands ended up hitting a few items in the process of her flailing. She struggled against the two arms that grabbed her just as her ears picked up a strange noise.

The sound of sizzling.

To everyone's alarm, sparks illuminated the room as the monitor started to erupt in flame.

"NOOOOO," she screamed as her computer exploded.

Ailsa blacked out.

She woke, lying on her back on cold concrete.

Someone kicked her, quite roughly, and she opened her eyes. Standing above her was Mia Kojii, in all her green-eyed fury.

"They always take my man," Mia said ruefully, her voice oddly accented and higher than it had been when Ailsa had last heard it.

At this, Ailsa blinked once. Twice. Three times to find out that no, she was not dreaming. And two that this was the real Mia Kojii, pissed and slightly menacing toward her.

"Umm," Ailsa intelligently answered, "Just who is your man anyway?" From her experience, Mia had been dating everyone from Kento to White Blaze (long story) and then even Kale, so it was rather confusing on just exactly who her "man" was.

"His name is Sage Date." Mia replied coldly. "And neither he nor I appreciate that you would dare pretend he would fall in love with another woman."

The softness in her voice gave it its menace, and Ailsa flinched at the sound.

Nope, she was not dreaming nor were the rest of the fanfiction authors wrong when they wrote Mia as quiet but determined. Ailsa had no answer for that for her vision had settled on something else entirely, or someone else to be precise.

Sage Date, in all his blonde glory, had come up behind Mia and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Ailsa glowered.

Mia noticed, but ignored it, a smile spreading across her face as she stepped aside and nuzzled into the man embracing her. "Ailsa, you have been chosen by the staff at the Official University of Ronin Warrior Fanfiction to enroll in how to properly write RW fanfiction."

"I already KNOW how to write Fanfiction! It’s easy! I just make up a character, make up an armor name, and I make up a new evil. The character is like me but better, and Sage falls in love with her!" Ailsa replied.

A hearty laugh filled the air as Sage turned to her, looking as if she had two heads or something. "That is where you newbies have it all wrong!"

He explained in a terse manner at her incredulous expression. "The Ancient created Nine armors, they have no new bearers, no new evils especially since Talpa is gone, and Mia is mine and mine alone. Her life is mine, not Ryo's...He's like a little brother to her, damn protective too."

"NEWBIES! I’m not wrong! And you’re not in love with Mia! Ryo and Kale and Kento are!" Her statement did not receive the desired response, and Ailsa pouted.

She yelped for help all the while looking at Sage, who was generally the hero in most of her stories, but at the moment just stood there, actually smiling.

Mia stopped her assault after getting one more good bitch slap in. "You’re wrong," said the half-French woman. "That is why you are being enrolled."

With something of a flourish, Mia lifted the girl to her feet and handed her a piece of paper.

Ailsa looked at the sheet of paper, accepted the pen, and answered the questionnaire as best she could, though the statement "OFUR takes no responsibility of injuries as a result from class activities or failure to regard safety warnings. Complaints can be taken to Kaos the Monk or Talpa/Arago" looked rather ominous.

A black eyebrow raised and Ailsa opened her mouth to say something, before a single violet eye pinned an ice cold stare on her. "Answer it, now."

"What the hell is this?" Ailsa questioned as her eyes roved over it and then she went looking for a hard flat surface to write on. "And why is the first question, ‘Who is Sage in love with?’"

"Answer it. Until you give answers, none shall you receive, as the Ancient says."

Anger coursed through her veins as her view on this woman changed drastically.

No more would she write her as an idiot that had no clue what she was doing, but a bitch that knew exactly what she wanted.

"Okay, give me a few minutes, this might take a while," Ailsa trudged over to the pier nearby and sat down, damn near close to pouting when she passed the sugar-sweet couple.

She completed the form with little trouble, and then handed it in.

"Who’s the headmaster here, anyway?" Ailsa asked as Mia skimmed over her answers.

"Correction, newbie. Headmasters, or mistresses, and you really don't want to meet them, they're crazy."

"At least tell me their names!" Ailsa cajoled.

"Nagia and Max. Now, please follow White Blaze here, and he'll show you to your next assignment. By the way, your test....you failed, miserably."

"Uh, test?" She asked as White Blaze roared impatiently.

Mia nodded knowingly, "Yes, that questionnaire was a placement test. You, my underling, are an official newbie author."

She clapped her hands only to spur the large tiger to grab the girl's arm in his jaws and pull her away.

Ailsa gazed in wide-eyed wonder at the sheer number of people crammed into the auditorium. She bumped into another girl, and mumbled an apology.

It took her a while, but Ailsa finally found a seat next to a friendly-looking person, who introduced himself as Matt.

On stage, a woman stepped up to the podium. Her blue skin, ice-colored hair and fluid movements belied her humanity.

"I am Nagia," the woman said, and motioned for another on the stage to join her.

Her companion looked like something straight from one of the Highlander movies. All black clothing, complete with leather trench coat and sword handle when she walked. It was obvious that this young woman hated each and every newbie sitting in the obvious and her voice said it wordlessly as she spoke into the microphone, "And I am Max. On behalf of the headmistresses and the staff here at OFUR, I welcome you to Hell."

"Indeed," said Nagia, smiling darkly, if something made of ice and water could smile. "To every newbie, I must warn you: the classes will be grueling, the homework exhausting, and the staff damn near all-knowing. You try to pull anything on us, we pull something bigger on you."

With that, the two women exited the stage, after dismissing the students.

Ailsa scowled at her bad luck.
