Nadia Russ' New York Moments - Article in Talent in Motion Magazine (2001, New York)
"I like paint faces... they reflect the souls of people, accenting their emotions, feelings and thoughts," states artist Nadia Russ.

Keeping a light, fanciful and uncomplicated countenance in approaching what might be involved and demanding ideas, transforms their impact into pleasantly aestetic notions.

Born in Ukranian town of Konotop, Russ moved to Moscow in 1979. Nadia began painting during Russia's Perestroika period, keying to subconscious elements while studing objective technique through private lessons from Moscow artists. Her solo exhibitions include Tri Doma Gallery, Auto Art Gallery, Souz Tvortchestvo Gallery, the Bulgarian Culture Center in Moscow, the Art Center and Art Gallery Club 13 in Xanadu of Freeport, Grand Bahama and Letizia Gallery of New York City.

"I think that the best of everything is created when the mind is in a state of absolute liberation, when there are no chaning limits to destroy movement of thought. Skill is able to enter upon this situation to pledge success and then, one is able to do anything that before seemed impossible. When this happens it is only necessary to find the key to yourself and thereafter, everything depends on one's capability for work..."

Bold and playful, the art of Nadia Russ rises above the global boundaries, restrictions and dimentions of art as we presume to know it and in its quest, arrives at pure fun.
