
Ghauri is a profound symbolism and has been named after King Shahabuddin Ghauri, Muslim ruler who defeated the Hindu ruler, Prithvi Raj Chauhan.
Ghauri is the latest version of the Pakistani built Hatf_V missile and is designed to carry a 700 kilogram payload.It has a range of 1500 kilometres.
Pakistan has successfully tested the missile by launching it on 6th April 1998.
