| This site is designed as a clearinghouse for traditional tunes on the web. There are no tunes here (yet, anyway) but there are links to tunes that I think are of value. I run across websites, usually by accident, with wonderful music on them. This is my effort to help promote those sites and make finding free music online easier for the traditional musician. My bias is toward standard notation and abc (which can be readily converted into standard notation). While some tablature might slip through the cracks, that is not my focus. I am a beginning musician who is interested in traditional music. I'm trying to play the mandolin and hope to branch into other instruments as time (and ability + finances) permit. |
