See Oradea today in the pictures in this link. We visited there after 30 years. I will post some of those pictures, too. To visit today, here is a link to travel info in Oradea
More on the history of the area and Oradea, my mother's family hometown at Northern Transilvania during 1940 - 1944
The following are two large tableaus my mother set up with the pictures of the family tree true to around 1985. It took her almost five years to research the family roots, put everything on paper, translate it into three languages and send it out with explanations to all the family branches on four continents. We used to laugh because we said that it is the only family that keeps growing all the time, only through research.
This is the first tableau. It shows the Katz family (my grandfather's side) and all the known members in 1985. Some died since then, others have been born and added. Every color has a meaning, stemming all the way from the main family and continuing till the last of children and grandchildren.
This is the second one depicting the branch of the Klein family, my grandmother's side.
The following is a true genealogy tree I created with Geno-Pro Free Software. I hope it works. There are changes to be made but it is impressive!
