Seifer is also a SeeD candidate who also has excellent fighting skills. Despite this though, he does not like being told what to do. Seifer is also a very ambitious character in Final Fantasy VIII.
Seifer is a bold, young fighter who leads life being cocky as hell. He always clashes with his rival, Squall, but rarely beats him. Although everyone sees Seifer is a brilliant soldier, nobody can see him as a SeeD as he does not like to take orders from anybody and he is also quite ruthless in his fighting ways. Seifer never takes orders, in fact he always seems to decide on what he is going to do and then sees that he does it in his own way. Seifer seems impervious to the advice of his superiors and does not seem to acknowledge anyone to be equal to him in any way. Because of this, although he is a fantastic fighter, Seifer is not very popular at Balamb Garden. In fact, his only two friends are the disciplinary committee of Balamb garden, Raijin and Fujin. these two will always follow Seifer and seem to be attracted by his decisiveness and authority. They will always carry out his orders and seem to be unaware of his dreams of power.
Seifer is a person who loves to be in control, mainly over other people and will always take a chance that could lead him to a new position of power over others. Seifer will take a different path in life to Squall and his gang, Seifer himself considers it a higher path. But these two men's rivalry is far from over, and as you will see Seifer plays a huge part in this game.
