There are many more complicated things related to Laguna than you may think but I will not mention most of them in this character profile as it will spoil the game for those of you that have not completed it.
Laguna is a natural leader, and you would think that he was born to fight as he always delves into battle without thinking. But he is also a very talented writer. But despite these qualities nothing ever seems to fulfill him.
Laguna is a romantic young man and a part time writer but has yet to find his purpose in life. Despite Laguna's qualities he lacks self esteem. Although he is a great soldier and tactician he is not one at heart. Yet, people look up to and admire him, even though he does think that he blunders through life.
Laguna always seems to end up leading people, and because he feels so responsible for those under his care, he always seems to want to put an end to injustice. He travels with his friends and fellow soldiers Kiros and Ward, who follow him wherever he goes.
Together, these three make new twists for Squall and his team without even knowing it. Many questions remain, why are Laguna and Squall's lives linked in some unimaginable way? Are the encounters Squall and his team face with Laguna dream or reality? Will their paths ever cross other than in dream? And why are they so emotionally involved with each others lives when they may not even be reality? Luckily, none of these questions Laguna has to suffer, as he and his companions are oblivious to Squall and his team when they are taken over by them. All Laguna worries about is how to protect his friends and loved ones. Little does Laguna know of what his life has in store for him.
Limit Break: Desperado
Laguna launches a one man army attack on all opponents with his machine gun and hand grenade. It is fairly damaging to all opponents you encounter. Make good use of this limit break as you do not encounter Laguna too much in the game. Still though, you face many battles while controlling him.
