Biography

In a world where everyone else believes themselves to be the best thing to come around since sliced bread, I do my best to keep things in perspective. My online gaming sessions keep me well aware that, while I may be a half decent player, there's at least ten thousand people who could kick my ass without even trying. While this definately isn't a winning attitude, it does put me in a great position to observe the oh-so-memorable moments when others get full of themselves and wind up doing something horribly, horribly stupid.

I've always been into plinking around with electronic gaming and whatnot, though I find that within the last ten or so years, things have been getting somewhat dull. With the rise in popularity of the RTS, FPS and standard street-fight beat-em-up games, I haven't been into mainstream gaming as much as I used to. Direct head-to-head competition has never really been my thing if its a game you have to practice around the clock to be any good at. This is the most likely explanation for my enjoyment of most online RPGs. No real dedication required, just log on and click your mouse a lot, while fleeing like a girl from all the player-killers who are twice your level. =D

Games like Diablo (and sequel), and most any massively multiplayer game tends to fall into this category, so you'll probably catch me goofing off on those most. Sure, you might need to think about how to manage some things every now and then, but for the most part, it's just mindless clicking.

Running into those who claim they can "click better" usually results in a good round of mocking, with them leaving angry, frustrated, and without a fight with half an hour of their lives, wasted forever.

And in the end, isn't wasting each other's time what we're all on here to do anyway? ;)
