Abby Speaks!

by Admin Abby

Nice to see that a few of the old crowd still think of me time to time. Here's what Admin Abby of the Lair had to say via email. - NL

Well Hi, guess you can now write about the destruction of the Lair and gloat :) And you can even expound on the fact that it was destroyed while the crap-ass Abby was in the hospital, that should really make your day. If you would like details, I will supply them for ya, this being famous for being such a shit admin is kinda getting good to me :) I may yet avoid a pace-maker, but just in case I don;t I will be back in the hospital, and you can write about my new shard going to hell also, wow you will have all kinds of article material for your site :)

Abby

Was she expecting me to send a card? Other than the over-use of smiley faces (though it's a wonder why they're there at all, given the context of the message), and the dirt-poor punctuation and grammer, I guess I'd have to say what stands out most to me here is that:

1) Abby feels the need to share with me her personal life. I fail to see what that has to do with Ultima Online, or me.
2) Abby apparently also feels a need to have her work at the shard rediculed. Fair enough.

Well, Abby, hope your health doesn't get the best of you, but really next time you might want to take a look at the issues of "Heart Problems" and "Maintaining a UO Shard", and weigh them a bit differently. The world's full of problems - children die starving every day, politics in most nations is a joke, technology advances while people get dummer. In the grand scheme of things, I freely admit I could care less if you can't run your shard for whatever reason possess you.

I hope in the future you can get your priorities straight. It would certainly benefit your ailing health.

PS - What's there to "gloat" about? We both knew the Lair was going down the tubes. I had little if anything to do with your "destruction". I can only hope that this gives you an oppertunity to make a game community that allows your users to enjoy their time on it. However, in the future you might want to clear your eyes a little bit. You seem to always look too far down your nose.
